I wouldn't go that far.
But when I visit a fur thread I contribute. Proper thing to do would be the same in fluffy threads.
Wanting to content police /b/ is fruitless anyway.
this is degeneracy.

degeneracy isn't limited to this fluffy pony stuff, to be fair. but it's one of the worst examples.
>>713459595
No.
>>713462576
So what do you have against freedom anon?
>>713462376
Hah, you must be one sheltered motherfucker if you think violent cartoon images are degenerate.
>>713462782
not really, I've seen alot.
>>713462750
nothing against freedom. you have every right to be into this, and I have every right to judge it.
>>713462900
Ah, go along in peace then. "Degeneracy" is usually authoritarian vocabulary.
>>713462294
Here's one thing thing I don't get about furry comics, if everyone is covered in fur, how can you see them blushing?
>>713463035
I see. yea, there are too many people who want to dictate their morals/tastes onto others. I'm not one of those. I just find this fluffy pone shit to be more ridiculous than usual, and had to spew my opinion on /b/.
>>713462900
Get your priorities straight then, because a prime example of degeneracy would be something that's truly harmful to the world we live in. This? These are mere drawings that some people happen to find amusing.
>>713463097
It's just a codified way to convey emotion that is inherent to the medium.
>>713463231
that's true. I guess if something like this keeps people from acting out, it might not be so bad.
>>713461725
What a drama queen
>>713463321
Meh I kind of knew that, but my mind has a habit of going very literal with things. It's takes me out of suspension of disbelief when I see stuff that doesn't make sense in real life.
Anybody have that explanation as to why fluffy abuse is satisfying because they represent the worst humanity has to offer? Breasts in advance.
>>713463523
color of skin can influences the fur color we see to some degree. For example tiger skin.
>>713463566
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catharsis
>>713463361
I can understand your way of thinking, but this is one of the many cases where the fiction that people consume doesn't represent their desires in real life; Many people have weird porn preferences such as rape, yet they'd never engage in it themselves. I for one hate to see any real animals get hurt, yet I enjoy watching fluffies suffer. Not sure why, but I don't particularly care either.
>>713463361
I'd question if there something to act out in the first place. It is not commonly believed that crime dramas and novels keep murderers from acting out. Equating consume of a depiction of something with a will to do something is an old fallacy.
>>713464178
We enjoy tragedies featuring humans since time immemorial so why wouldn't it apply to anthromorphized animals?
>>713463898
Hmm so you're saying that ferries might have some emotional response that changes the color of their depending on which emotion it is?
Huh, well if I can suspend my disbelief while reading a story of anthropomorphized animals, then that explanation might work for me.
>>713464361
ferries?
stupid autocorrect, furries*
>>713464361
color of their fur*
Dang I gotta start proof reading my posts.
>>713464362
Why are you posting furries in this thread? You must have some serious brain damage.
>>713464361
Blushing same as in humans, the apparent color is an optical mix of blushed skin and fur because fur coverage isn't 100% and hair isn't 100% impervious to light.
>>713464531
>>713464178
that makes sense. I also indulge in things that I haven't done irl, and acted out in the context of games or anonymous posting.
it's just that it starts with MLP, which is already a manchild indulgence imo, then adds fluff and babytalk to make it even more cloying, then shit and piss, then 'baby fuck' levels of abuse... it's like it takes internet content to the worst extent possible. but even if I find it bizarre and distasteful, I have to admit that it's just another outlet like anything else, just weirder than usual.
>>713464325
I'm thinking that shit like this is cathartic. not that you can literally torture cartoon characters, but that content like this is a psychological outlet. and if the outlet isn't there, then it, whatever you call it, would come out in a more harmful way.
>>713457343
TOPKEK! WELL MEME'D!
>>713464531
At least these feature different characters, that fox vore guy just posts one.
>>713464575
Huh that makes sense as well, I was kind of liking the idea of a sentient furry biped who uses color changing fur to convey emotions though.
>>713457343
meme
>>713464725
In the realm of fiction that can be a thing too. I also remember a hypothetical animal that could physically plausible have a metallic sheen to its fur. Maybe I can find it again.
>>713464610
How about desire for entertainment that comes out in the form of other regular entertainment. Boredom is a mundane regular thing that we quench by consuming things that awaken our interest. And there isn't some dark deep seated damage involved in this.
>>713465117
there's that too. but, when people scrape the bottom of the barrel and embrace insanity, I assume there's something more going on psychologically.
>>713465279
You're not crazy until you stop questioning your sanity. I spent quite a long time trying to figure out if something was wrong with me for like fluffy comics and stories. Ended up figuring out that my interest is a mixture of morbid curiosity and an outlet for psychological pain, since I feel a sort of kinship with an innocent creature in pain through no sentient actions of it own. Like seeing unjustified abuse makes me feel less alone. I have no urges to do anything portrayed in these comics in real life though.
>>713465117
A metallic looking mammal? Sounds cool.
>>713465279
Is it insanity though? Insanity in the context of consuming a medium id signify as either a lack of separating reality from fiction or obsessing about it to an unhealthy degree. Which is nothing we can just ascribe to people by seeing the media itself posted here.
A depiction of insanity is not itself a insane thing.
And bottom of the barrel is just a judgement by subjective taste that differs for everyone.
>>713463898
it's not catharsis. You're just fucked up, and that's coming from a furfag.
>>713465983
that's true. but the fact remains that this is on the fringe of subjective taste. for example, furries like alot of the same sexual things I do, they just do it with anthropomorphic animals. it's not really that different. fluffy pony shit is pretty far from vanilla/normal and violates several taboos.
>>713466328
I guess I can't really argue against it being fringe. I just object to the condemnation of the actual people and decrying them as insane with some unreflected armchair psychology only born out of an emotional snap judgment.
>>713457343
fuck
>>713466688
I am sitting in an armchair. maybe it was a snap judgment, but I don't think it's baseless either. I was referring to the content as insane rather than its consumers. while not everyone who indulges in this is psychologically disturbed, I think it's a reasonable assumption that many of them are.
>>713466969
"Don't assume, it makes an ass out of u and me".
Do violent video games make people violent?
Does metal music make people into murdering satanists?
Does roleplaying games make people lose their sense of reality?
A lot of initially fringe things have been accused of having crazy consumers.
Every inquiry done into them though, have shown that people have to predisposed to do crazy stuff to do it. It doesn't depend on their hobbies.
>>713466969
I'd think it is maybe a similar relation like studies showed furry has to actual bestiality.
Furry has an attractiveness to people into bestiality which elevates their relative numbers in the fandom compared to the average, it is however still a small minority (so by no means "many").
And the correct conclusion is not that fluffy or furry are amoral because people, who do the actual amoral things happen to engage in it.
>>713467496
Or maybe I should have said a study singular, because I'm not clear on the amount of research in the subject.
Fuck the unending captchas btw, I had to click on fucking street numbers like 10 times in the same fucking square to post this
>>713467287
all of that is true.
I perceive fluffy ponies as being much more fringe and beyond the pale than the other things you mentioned. but maybe I'm just being biased...
>>713467496
I think this has it right. it's not that it makes you disturbed, but a significant minority who are would be drawn into it. likewise, furry doesn't translate into beastiality, but for those who are into that, the appeal is there.
I think this is accurate, and it's what I was instinctively responding to.
>>713467721
You only have to do 3+1 reappearing to get through that stage.
>>713457343
nigger
Anyone have more fluffys getting gassed/poisoned?
It must be muh german heritage, but that really gets my murder boner going.
>>713467755
Well until I see an actual study that backs up your initial judgement of fluffies.
I'm just going to consider it a niche sci-fi build your own universe project.

My favorite tale from the Booru
>>713468771
To be honest I think the fur fag is just sort of contributing, with the wrong content sure, but I don't have the impression of anything malicious.
>>713468869
Weirdly enough he actually put in some females for me.
