First off, communism has never actually happened. Socialism has, and socialism leads to communism. But communism has never been fully achieved. Usually due to outside capitalist forces. (See the Cold War or the CIA missions in Cuba.)
Secondly, the abolition of private property is a main part of socialism. The means of production go from the hands of a sole individual to the hands of the workers. For example, a company that produces cars would no longer be owned by a few people who make six figures while they have employees who make far less. It would be owned by all of the workers who play a role in the production of the cars and all choices would be decided by the workers of the company and since each job is equally important because without someone doing a certain role, the whole operation falls apart.
Finally, I get a very strong feeling you're talking about the Soviet Union and the famine that occurred on the 1930's. That wasn't because if collectivization. It was because of the poor weather conditions and the Kulaks in the Ukraine hoarding grain and burning crops to resist the collectivization because they were capitalists and wanted money money money and to this day say poor us when really the Soviet government was offering them just compensation for collectivizIng their crops, but like I said, the Kulaks were greedy and resisted sk they are largely to blame for the famine. And they deserved the gulags and the starvation they brought upon themselves.

So, naturally, I get why a companies owners should be making more, but what about these super big, international companies? For what one is paid, it's like why bother? That would be why i'd make my own business, lol.
