I have a friend who's entire house looks like this. He still lives with his parents still. Its always been this way ever since I met him in kindergarten, they just have trash and shit every where. It was clean one time when they had to do it because mold started growing, but with in 3 months it was back to the shithole it has always been.
Entire place always smelled like cat piss from their cat who's still going strong at 20 years old, but should have been put down 3 years ago. Other than that it was always covered in trash from the 7 people who lived there (parents and 5 children). They were good people too, I don't know how their entire house got that way a couple times my friend and his siblings almost got taken away by CPS despite the parents being fine.
Its not a poor area either, it's the suburbs about an hour away from Los Angeles. But his family was always dirt poor and barely managing to stay on their feet. Dad works like 3 jobs just to keep the has out while his mom stays at home and takes care of his little brother and sister who are still in Elementary school. Kinda sad, but I get how these people end up this way, and it's not as bad as you think. I was able to have fun and didn't entirely mind the mess they made.

Mapp gas canisters for my imminent escape proof suicide closet attempt.
A time randomly closes the electric deadbolt on a closet for inverse logarithmic amounts of time from .01 second to 8 hours. I have valves set to open the gas solenoid on the MAPP gas manifold that leads into the closet. I would use spray cans of Automotive Starting Fluid- but I can't hook these to a manifold. The MAPP gas should work. It is set to open the gas valve after a random amount of time, either Before the door unlocks or afterwards. Once the gas valve solenoid opens it stays open.
So the closet has a steel door with two electric deadbolts, so I can't break it down.
The Arduino has been programmed to click a Send key via SerialKeys to send and email to my family after 24 hours after the door unlocks.
So far after 4 times visiting my closet
I have been locked in it for

4 minutes / 7.5 minutes
1.5 minute / 1.25 minute (longest 15 seconds of my life)

The only thing that's a major issue is washing clothes, but I use a friend's washer and I go to the gym for showers.

I'm not taking a pic of my place because there's probably a dozen or more items that could potentially identify me and i cant be fucked hiding them, but i'd say my room is not far off those first few pics. bottles of urine, fuck loads of cans and meal containers, shitloads of old computers and electronics i've attempted to repair and just left laying around. only leave the house when i have to. always take the easy road, dont communicate with anyone or have any friends let alone a girlfriend. i don't really make anything happen or change things around, i just let shit happen.
