I didn't have much of either. I found a 960 Strix but I have a hunch my 580 is still better performance-wise.
It's just that the later series of cards have features that I kinda want - The 780 and Ti have CUDA 3.5 which is great for tripcode cracking, and the 600 series has TXAA. But the 900 series is much cooler so I don't have to worry about there being an oven under my bed.
I'd buy that 960 for $180 but it's slower than the 580 or so I'm led to believe. I'd buy a 970 since it's definitely faster than the 580 but its architecture issue renders it unusable for eGPU use. Let's not even talk about the 980 - That shit is still to expensive. I can't buy anything lower than a 780 because that would just be a lateral upgrade and a waste of cash.
I legit pretty much never even use my eGPU any more. Why am I concerned?
