1) it was within the margin of error closer to the vote. a rainy day in mostly pro-stay London tilted the outcome.
2) british polling is nowhere near as sophisticated as american polling. we've been doing this for decades and have very clever modeling based on historical data.
Even if a lot of people stay home, Trump was always going to have a hard time. Any republican would have the run the table on swing states while a democrat only needs to win one or two. For all you fucktards who don't understand how the electoral college works, let me explain.
Each state gets one electoral vote for each member of Congress from its state. Florida has 27 representatives and 2 senators, so they get 29 electoral votes. Whoever wins Florida gets all 29 votes.
We have 435 total members of the house, and 100 total members of the senate, which makes 535 electoral votes. DC also gets 3 electoral votes, bringing the total to 538.
538/2 = 269. Hence why it takes 270 to become president.

As a someone who is generally middle and lean right and left on several different issues,
I own my own small business construction business, so you can see how I would lean right on issues involving taxes and SHOULD want to vote for a republican candidate who runs businesses like trump.
Until you find out that every subcontractor he used to build his casinos in Atlantic City were purposely not paid tens of thousands, and some hundreds of thousands of dollars.
He had on retainer high end lawyers to drag these legal fights out for more than a decade until the subcontractors went out of business.
His excuse for not paying? He didn't like their work, so he felt he didn't have to pay.
Two reasons that's stupid.
1.) if you don't like a contractor's final work you are required to tell them HOW you don't like it compared to the blueprints/ contract specifications. Giving the subcontractor a chance to fix ANY mistakes so he can get paid.
He did not do this. BUT if the sub contractor doesn't want to, then the Contractor can then fix the work themselves or higher another Sub to do so and THEN he can charge the sub if it exceeds the remaining balance to the sub.
Trump did none of this, He held a final meeting at the end of the job for all the Sub Contractor owners.. in which everyone thought they would get paid, he then told everyone one of them their jobs were shit, and weren't going to get paid the final balance. Kicked them out.
Then took them aside later and told them that he still wanted to use them for his other building....
which logically, why use a sub again if you don't like their work?
