How did they die?
Like were they trapped and drowned? Or were they crushed?
Can anyone link me to a diagram or a video demonstration to show what actually happened?
Bump aus fags
>>709375394
From what I've heard two got held under water the other two were crush
>>709375698
Oh ok. I've been on the ride heaps and I just can't wrap my head around how it happened
>>709375753
I never saw the actual video but I was told they got knocked off or fell out, two were trapped upside down under water and drowned the other two were apparently thrown onto the belt the ride runs on and were crushed
Rescue bump Aus fags
>>709375989
I've seen the conveyer belt and don't understand how it could crush them. Wouldn't they just fall onto it?
>>709375394
Two got thrown out and crushed by the conveyor belt, two got stuck underwater and drowned, and two kids got thrown out and survived somehow.
>>709375753
The raft in front of them got stuck, their raft was still on the conveyor belt, the back of their raft kept being pushed forward and caused the front to flip up.
Bump cmon people
>>709376130
They were crushed between the raft and the conveyor belt I believe.
>>709376130
Not to sure myself but they apparently ended up getting crushed after falling onto the belt.
My guess is that they got stuck in the place where the belt and the machine itself connect and were dragged under
I wish there was a diagram or something just to show exactly how it happened
>>709376567
There is A Video of what happened but I can't find it anywhere
Was on gfs phone today and saw diagram on her phone, she's looking for it now, I'll keep you all updated
>>709377148
Yeah there would definitely be footage as they have cameras everywhere there. Prob won't get released though.
Or might be on the deep web somewhere lol
>>709377351
Oh yeah that'd be awesome! Just wanna get my head around what the heck happened. It's hard to believe something so bad has happened! Hope they don't close dreamworld :(
>>709377351
Let us know if you or anyone else find it
>>709377586
Still searching, was on a news fb page, Aus channel or a newspaper can't remember
>>709377692
Pleeeeease find it :) counting on you!
>>709375394
Like this
I saw that diagram in the Tville Bully.
Basically 1 boat was held up at a major turn, or loading bay, etc. And the 2nd one ran up its arse.
The conveyor forced the 2nd boat to push on, so it mounted the 1st, stationary boat and flipped backwards.
Dudes were rekt as they were crushed between a moving conveyor, and a few hundred kilogram boat. Others were stuck under all this bullshit and drowned. Maybe knocked out or trapped, dunno.
I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. The diagram shows how simple, and repeatable, these circumstances are.
See my explanation here, my phone is fucking up so a bit so here's a screenshot of my comment in the other thread
My gf found them bless
>>709377399
The video I watched was uploaded to YouTube it stayed there for about an hour then got taken down. There has to be the footage of it somewhere else, it was taken from a random persons phone if that helps in anyway
I cant help it I just really wanna see the video Im so curious
Ahh thank so much everyone that posted those pics and explained!
Still a bit unsure of how 2 people got crushed though...
>>709378216
Wow, actual footage of the accident?
>>709378396
I wished I had saved it.
i just learned of this and googled it. apparently, it was all caught on CCTV.
It will end up on liveleak at some point.
>>709378483
Yeah. The footage was a little shaky but it showed the accident happen before the guy stopped recording it. I regret not saving it when I had the chance
>>709378483
Did you see this >>709378115
Its pretty easy to imagine with this pic/ explanation.
They were so much crushed, but more mangled.
Some people are calling this a hoax.
>>709378627
Wow. Not being a sicko but yeah I'm really curious to see it just to see how the fuck it happened
>>709378836
it was mustard gas. not a hoax.
>>709378836
Lol why would it be a hoax
>>709378836
Everything is a fucking hoax to conspiracy theorists.
>>709378873
I only watched it to find out how it happened I didn't want to save it due to how horrible I thought it was but now I kind of regret it

>>709379317
Heard that also...
I don't get it. Normally 4chan couldn't give two fucks about anything that happens in Australia and most of the people here seem to hate the country as well as the people. Why the sudden change of heart and interest?
>>709379326
No. there is no video.
>>709379359
So they were completely inexperienced ir didnt guve a fuck, either way dreamworld is going down for this, big time

Probably right. That would make more sense.

>>709379546
I suppose more adults on /b/ now or something. It's not so funny when you've seen a bit of life.
>>709379317
What difference would it make? 2 of them died instantly and the other were drowning, what would the emergency stop help in this case?
>>709379436
The 100% is a video, however it will most likely never see the light of day.
This is the biggest theme park in Australia, every single ride/ the entire park will be fitted with CCTV, not to mention the 1000s upon 1000s of peopke their with their families taking home videos.
The investigatirs watched the video to find out what happened.
However as i mentioned, this is Australia so dont expect to see any vids.
If this was thailand or mexico or some other 3rd world shit hole maybe, but not in a real country.
>>709379660
No phone video on YouTube, though.
>>709375753

anyone able to get the death scene photos from the CSI crew? I want to see what damage this shit could've done
>>709379751
I was referring to the twit claiming to have seen phone video on YouTube.
>>709379725
Nobody died instantly, 2 survived, 2 drowned, 2 were caught in the conveyor bekt as it rotated around and mangled them.
Also the emergency stop shuts the whole machine down instantly. If he pressed it when the raft started to tip, it wouldnt have been pulled under.
Someone which more exp would know that something was up and would stop the ride.
Better to stop it unnecessarily than to let 4 people die
>>709375394

No, that is definitely not the case.
>>709375394
Paramedics arrived to find Dreamworlds first aid guys giving CPR to bodies that had no chance of being revived.
That bit hit me the hardest, given the nature of the machine - i just imagine soom poor young kid who took a few first aid classes trying to revive a mangled corpse...
They would have been in so much shock, having no clue wtf to do, just trying anything..
Thats fuckin harsh
>>709379417

>2 were caught in the conveyor bekt as it rotated around and mangled them
Those were the ones I was referring to, after they got under, they were as good as dead, even if the emergency stop was pressed it wouldn't make a difference.
Unless the guy noticed the boat while it was flipping and pressed it instantly, it wouldn't make a difference.
My brother was on the bridge when it happened,
he said that it started climbing up the one in front and was tipping that one up so a guy on that boat pushed it up off his head to stop him getting squashed if you know what I mean, that made it just rapidly tip up and flip over.
He said as it was tipping 2 kids got thrown to the side of the conveyor.
One woman fell on the conveyor and was like screaming and got her bottom half chopped up pretty good. She freed herself but fell into the water. People dragged her out and she was screaming etc but bled out on the side of the concrete.
The second woman screamed and stuff but her upper body got jammed in the conveyor and she just became an soggy sack that was bouncing and rolling against the tube on the end of the conveyor and was eventually decapitated.
The two dudes got pinned upside down against the other stationary tube with their heads under what and couldn't free themselves and drowned.
The daughter of the 1st mother apparently was just screaming for her mother for about 20 minutes and people couldn;t calm her down.
Brother is still pretty shaken up about it all.
>>709384571
>Unless the guy noticed the boat while it was flipping and pressed it instantly
Yes that's what Anon is saying. The attendant is ~10 feet away from the end of the conveyor belt because that's where they get off.
>>709379751
not to mention the 1000s upon 1000s of peopke their with their families taking home videos.

similar story I heard.
my mates friend was a paramedic on scene.
can confirm there were intestines everywhere, a severed arm and decapitated head.
>>709385837
I guess if we look at the OP pic, I assume the white tarp in the front is the decapitated one?
>>709385837
Also the one stuck by the top half must be "woman suspended by foot"
>>709387873
i guess, i cant make any more statements than what my brother said, but if i were to hazard a guess id say it was either the bottom of the other lady or yeah the second lady in my story.
Im not too fussed on details as in time it will all reveal itself.
>>709388033
What I'm still struggling to understand is the two dudes. I keep hearing "pinned under the second" given the one that tipped was facing the other way, did they slip out under and come out between them?
I don't expect you to answer any more that what your bro said, just an open statement.
>>709378070

OP here. Went for a drive and stoked to see the thread is still going :)
Apparently the two guys who died where a gay couple.

>>709388200
if they were on the conveyor side its possible they ended up under water just from the tipping motion
>>709385837
>so a guy on that boat pushed it up
well the guy in that boat killed those 4 people. How did the boat in the front get stuck? Maybe we see there were some punks in the front boat that caused this whole thing

It was just a freak accident that nobody saw coming, it's such a tame ride that they're probably so focussed on the safety of the bigger thrill rides.
Just one of those things. They really don't deserve to shut down. It's the only deaths they've ever had and I'm sure it will be the last
>>709390970

Not weird in the slightest! Pretty natural actually. See- "morbid curiosity"
The whole community(including kids) would show up and fight for front row seats at hangings/executions.
To take it back to something much more simple- why do people enjoy horror movies and LIKE feeling scared, gossed out, shocked, sickened...
>>709385837

Ahhh, shit! Wrong thread- sorry Aussies and fags!!!
What we know:
Four adults and two children got onto a flume. These people were:
Kate Goodchild (32)
Ebony Goodchild (12) - Kate's daughter
Luke Dorsett (35) - Kate's brother
Roozbeh Argahi (38) - Luke's partner
Cindy Low (42)
Kieran Low (10) - Cindy's son
Their flume came to the end of the conveyor system but mounted an empty flume which had become trapped after a failed water-pump had lowered the water level. As their flume slid on top, the rear end fell bellow the water line catching on the end of the conveyor which then dragged the flume below. Luke Dorsett & Roozbeh Argahi were pulled beneath presumably drowning but likely suffering extensive injuries (judging by the shredded wooden seats). Kate Goodchild & Cindy Low were trapped between the conveyor and the flume; witness reports state that one of the women was seen hanging upside down by her foot. The two children, Ebony Goodchild & Kieran Low were flung clear of danger and landed in water.

that same day the ride broke down twice
why is there only 1 water pump? isn't it safer to use 2... and why no water sensor to auto stop the whole ride? hope dreamworld get fined millions for this. no excuses to risk peoples safety for being cheap cunts. and they even failed to press the e-stop. are you fucking kidding me... you don't need training to see something about a raft tipping to press the button. what a bunch of retards

they had to drain the water out to reset it once from what I heard
>>709395473
I believe they have more then one pump just one failed and made the water levels lower because I've seen the ride shut down after hours with the pumps off and I could see the bottom of the river
>>709395581
i mean sure they'd tell you but i don't think most of them would be constantly worrying about it to the extent that they could react immediately to stop a ride in a situation like this. if anything they'd be in shock for a second and probably be too late in this instance
>>709395344
I didn't know we actually invented it!
I always ride that thing when I visit Liseberg, but only because of sentimental values and nostalgia. It's pretty damn boring to be honest.
Also, our rafts place you deeper inside them, not a chance in hell you get thrown out of that thing.
>>709395473
there are sensors, theyre investigating whether they had failed (which they obviously have). the operator was on her first day on the job, and she was 18. the opening of time she had to stop the ride before catastrophic shit went down would have been minuscule, so pile that on top of her inexperience and youve got a recipe for disaster. its just a really unlucky series of events
>>709395705

It's not that top heavy, it's barely afloat. That rubber is thick as fuck, and a lot of it is below the surface. If you look closely, you'll see that their seating is pretty far below the yellow rim, and feet are effectively below the waterline.
2 faggots and 4 government workers died, we should be celebrating.

The flume is the chute in which these things ride, not the floats they sit in themselves.
Unless the word has gotten twisted around in amusement park employee vernacular, kind of like how meme has gotten twisted into viral thing on the Internet.
>>709396312
'i was fired for following safety protocol'
is publicity that no theme park would willingly invite
>>709396444
>checkem
its my personal belief that his version of events is correct. mostly because when the reports initially went live, it was said that a man had swam to safety. not to mention that they are appealing for witnesses so hard. why would they need to do that if they have CCTV footage and the statements of 40 people already? maybe theyre looking for the guy in the other raft?
you know if the word got out that some dude pushed the raft into flipping, he would immediately become public enemy #1. so what do the media do? they blame it on the safety of the park, specifically the ride in question, and bring up completely unnecessary details from nearly 20 years ago that have no affect on tuesday's events. theyre keeping the real story hidden until he is found and gives evidence.
>>709396600

>>709396508
You've obviously never worked a job in Australia. Workplace Health and Safety have a whole bunch of rules in place, and they only get followed when inspectors are around.
Making a mistake that costs the company any money will make you automatically fired.
>>709394221
Fuck. That sounds scary as fuck. All the hundreds(?) of witnesses will be able to sue the park for tauma and Nam style flashbacks. (Some of them will probably even be legit!?)
This fucked us up bad, I live like, right fucking next to the amusement park, no one knows what to think since my family went there last week and fucking went on that ride

I'm not saying I don't believe your bro's account, in fact my guess is that he is far more reliable, I just find it odd that pretty much everything I've read suggested the other raft was empty. From a company standpoint wouldn't you want to dump at least part of the blame on some dude who somehow flipped the raft up and slaughtered them like animals.

Just like the Steve Irwin death, we'll never see this video. Australians keep this stuff more locked up than our ancestors.

its been 2 days cunts who has the cctv footage?
>>709396873
it's a multi-national company, they can withstand the blame until the whole story comes out. it looks a lot better for them to co-operate with police than to point fingers, so their company image suffers less, leading to an easier re-entry into the market. not to mention that if they DID say 'brah check the footage some dude did it lul', its almost 100% likely that he would never ever come forward due to fear of being persecuted by the public a la gabel toastie. if they just keep quiet about it and play their part, he has a better chance of coming forward and presenting evidence.

I'm just looking at a photo of myself in a similar thing, (UK- Alton Towers 'Congo River Rapids') it's from about ten years ago, but still- the 'boat' thing I'm on looks way better designed and built.
Also- just remembered, (been on it at least once a year for the past ~20 years) there are cameras and loud speakers ALL along the whole ride. If you stand up or fuck about or anything- someone INSTANTLY shouts at you to sit down/get hands out the water/stop getting kil, etc.
>>709397480
If there is only one fucking guy*
>>709397544
nah they would have updated it for sure. otherwise the system would be incompatible with the rest of the park

>>709397674
I've been on the ride too. We never had the conveyor stop, but it was hell busy, and rafts were being filled as soon as they got back. Never time for them to accumulate. They certainly wouldn't send one down empty at 2:20 in the afternoon.
That empty raft doesn't make sense. Either the riders got off then it floated back towards the conveyor against the flow of water, or there were actually riders on the second raft.
>>709397872

they had towels covering it up. no live footage went to air until about 1.5 hours after the incident. even then, the first pictures were of the cops and park workers frantically covering up the wreck with towels cause they knew the choppers were coming

There would have been enough of a gap between rafts to notice that one was stuck... unless operator thought that the next raft would knock the first one free and they'd both float away, but that being said if it was me I'd still have my hand near the button in case my experiment in raft bumping went awry.
