Because that's how almost all remasters make money since PC either gets them for free or like 75% off.

Your arguement is pointless, every year at e3 Sony and Microsoft go on about the graphical quality of the games on their consoles and then run the preview test build from a PC, this is all common knowledge.

>>
>>709268494
64 bit will allow skyrim to use more than 2gigs of ram in your computer, which I can only assume you have
32bit means the process can use up to 2^32 bytes (or around 4gb of ram) but for somereason bethesda hard coded it for ctd at 2.1gb (not for some reason, its pandering to console fags)

having it in 64bit means theoretically it can use 2^64 bytes of ram, or 16.8million terabytes, which I dont think anyone has.

tl;dr if you ahve more than 2gb of ram then it will run better

I have like 75+ at 4k and it runs just fine. Yeah your budget build "look at my cheap computer that technically can play current games" struggles, doesn't mean others have the same issue.
>>
>>709268467
Bog your system down with skyrim? Are you kidding? Skyrim isn't even a good benchmark game. Skyrim is one of those games like every fucking bethesda game where I actually had to use a 3rd party program to limit the frame rate so their shitty scripting system wouldn't bug the game out.

Lol, bog your system down ffs.
>>
>>709268685
my game "works" with 250ish mods, as in the game runs correctly, it just uses more than 2.1 gb ram and ctds when not inside small dungeons

the memory hack doesnt work, it still ctds at 2.1gb of ram usage,

or maybe im jsut fucking retarded, and did that wrong, regardless, now bethesda did it for me for free, all I have to do is jsut download it.

regardless not having to fuck with the memory hack makes it easier for those that are tech illiterate but still game on PC not all of us fuckers mod the hell out of everything.

And the game should've been released as 64bit in 2011, so its about goddamned time.

>trolling used to be an art
>>
>>709268876
Well, for one, I have a better computer than you, so I obviously am cooler. Two, it's a widely known bug in bethesda games using that shitty engine that their scripting fucks up at frame rates over 60. For some games it's not as noticeable, like in skyrim all you really get are random crashes and sometimes physics objects will jitter and fuck up, or sometimes words of power won't be obtainable from the walls no matter how long you stare at them. It's mainly only a problem if you are like me, hate mouse lag, and turn on vsync. The way to fix it (at least the way I had to fix it) was to download a program called riva tuner and set it to limit skyrim's frame rate to 60. I had to do this with fallout 4 as well, because anything above 60 and things like lockpicking go super fast and you get stuck on terminals.

But yeah, either you're just fucking with us or you're playing skyrim on a computer you bought in 2005

>>709268961

>>709268983

It's impressive how you can be correct and so wrong at the same time. I'm sorry your computer is shitty, but Skyrim defaults to having vsync turned on which essentially caps the fps to 60 and can't be turned off without editing files. So either you're making shit up to sound cool or you were fucking around with files you had no understanding of and screwed your game up and didn't know how to fix it.

It's no brainer really. Just a typical way for game devs these days to milk some money out from a bunch of retarded fanboys.
You can't reason with them, just let them buy and get on with it.
I loved Skyrim. I even played it again and again using different character each time just for the sake of trying out everything. But do I wanna waste my money on the remastered version and its so called "extras"? The answer is NO.
There are plenty of new fresh games coming out and worth more for my money.
>>
>>709269668
Hey, don't be that guy.

I pay for my games AND my dragon dildos. Don't compare me to him.
>>
>>709269355
Considering the fact that I already stated I turned it off to prevent mouse lag I'd say it's safe to assume that I did indeed edit those files and that is what caused the problem, and I then had to download an external program to limit my frame rate without using vsync and introducing mouse lag again. I guess if you're talking about vsync as the frame rate cap, then sure. But without that on, there's no magical feature in the game that prevents it from going any higher. They hide it so you can't turn it off because they know their game breaks at high fps. I do this because mouse lag seriously bothers me in any game that I play, and it's the first thing I get rid of.

You're also completely missing my point, which is that skyrim doesn't take shit to run and there's no possible way anyone's system is being "bogged down" unless they have a 10 year old computer.
>>
>>709269678

>You do realise that most of the marketing campaign
>marketing campaign

You do realize that it makes no sense to spend money on an advertisement campaign for users who get the product for free anyways!?

We know what we get: 64bit support. No need to spend money on shoving this fact down our throats.

It's you who has to spend money on it, so the campaign is targeting you, so you will generate profit for them.

L2economics.
Then you'd also realize why gaming on a console is fucking retarded from a economical POV, the same POV OP criticizes ITT, so just STFU.
>>
>>709269748
So what you're saying is that you admit to fucking up your game and not knowing how to fix it. Unless you're on a really shitty computer there should be any magical "mouse lag" that comes from vsync. You're also missing that I agree with you on that last point, but still think you're an idiot for disabling the in-game fps limiting then limiting the fps with a 3rd party program. The internal "vsync" is essentially just a 60 fps cap, not anything more.

For some reason the trolls seem to be making two arguements at the same time that massively contradict eachother, that firstly it's not worth money on consoles where it is actually a major improvement especially if you never played the game; and that on PC it's no different to them than mods despite the 64bit upgrade, and it's a crime Bethesda are releasing it despite it being free.

If you don't notice input lag from vsync then I'm not really sure what else to tell you. Do you notice mouse lag in any games at all? I know some people just don't notice it ever even when it's there. My room mate uses a wireless mouse and every time I try something on his computer it's like torture. He says he doesn't notice, but it's pretty obvious.

Other than that everything I told you was true, the game is easy to run and doesn't bog down your system unless it's old as fuck. I disabled vsync (and mouse acceleration incidentally) to get rid of the input lag that is common to ALL games that use vsync and mouse acceleration (seriously, google this, it's not like it isn't a thing). I then found another way to limit the frame that wouldn't cause input lag.

What the fuck are you even arguing with me about? I can't tell anymore. It started off with you calling me a liar, now you're just saying a broke my game and have a shitty computer. Doesn't make any sense. The game had a problem. I fixed the problem. The game now runs perfectly fine with no mouse lag at all, and no glitches.

Clearly your issue was the mouse acceleration and not the vsync. And of course you're going to have issues with a wireless mouse. They're shit. My "arguing" was calling you out on your bullshit claiming first that Skyrim doesn't natively cap fps, then that in doing so it causes mouse lag. Mouse acceleration and a couple other things could cause that issue but vsync wouldn't unless it was syncing your fps low and causing overall lag because your computer is shitty.

Both mouse acceleration and vsync cause input lag. If you have either enabled it will still be there. It's very well known that vsync causes input lag, so again.. Not sure what to tell you about that aside from google it or run your own tests. I'll admit that isn't not very noticeable compared to the lag caused by mouse acceleration, but it is still there, and it is enough to bother me and cause me to look for a fix. I'm not alone in this.

The wireless mouse belongs to my room mate, I use wired. I was using it as an example of how some people do not notice mouse lag even when it's super obvious, which I'm starting to think is your issue.

Also, I assumed you weren't talking about vsync when you said skyrim caps your fps because I had already stated that I disabled it.

But yeah, bottom line is that vsync does cause input lag, and this is a very widely known issue. It does not matter how fast your computer is.

You're not fooling anyone into thinking you're smart or cool by calling people kid, by the way. You are a pretty transparent douchebag.

64bit is pretty neat although at this point i am personally pretty bored with skyrim since its been out for like 5 years and no one makes mods worth a shit for it anymore. they didnt do anything about the 255 esp limit though so the whole thing is pretty fucking pointless

i guess console mods are cool but they will never get anything worth a shit since they cant use SKSE so again its pretty pointless

seems like its just a cash grab by bethesda since console players (aka retards) need to buy it all over again

my game already looks a million times better than the remastered edition and it will probably break all my mods if i switch over and remodding everything would be a huge pain

probably wont get it

I will

It's an observation. I'm not the one calling people kid because I'm too lazy to google a common problem that I refuse to believe exists.

I seriously don't understand why you won't admit your wrong. You have a search bar in your browser that you can verify everything I've said with, but for some reason all you want to do is just pretend you know better and call me a kid. Whatever though, you'll figure it out eventually.

the profile you see in that screen shot is pretty much just for screen shots so it doesnt bother me. the profile i actually play with has less dense grass (not set to 7 lmao) and uses not 8k textures all over the place. i still keep the ENB because if you are not playing with TKRE then whats the point but over all it runs smoother. the above screen shot was also hastily taken for this thread so it does not show everything in its full glory

How many nude mods tho

just the UNP body

if you are talking about sex mods i have an entirely separate install for that but i rarely use it anymore

Sometimes i get the feeling Bethesda doesn't like modders "ruining" their games. Skyrim itself is a pretty dull, cakewalk experience. It's the mods that makes the game interesting. This so called "remastered" edition just breaks several mods & doesn't even look half as good as some mods can make the game look. Overall it looks cheap, especially in comparison to the Skyrim HD mod
>>
so, do we already know how far mods will be compatible?
also, what does this truly adds? textures upscaled a few times and 64bits support? improved models or collision meshes? cut content resurfacing? bugfixes?

I'm actually looking forward to a vanilla skyrim experience again. Plus the game isn't really a cakewalk on legendary.
>>
>>709274808
if only bethesda found a way to make enemies more challenging than making them bullet sponges with high damage
>>
>>709274987
I agree. What I really want is fallout 4's survival mode in skyrim.
>>
>>709275139
is it like NV's? in that case there should be a mod called basic needs that does just that
>>
>>709267520
PS4 users are cucks, sony has fucked you with mods.
>>
>>709275269
Yeah pretty much. But they also made the combat more fun imo by making it so everything is deadlier. You can kill enemies super fast but they can also nearly one shot you in a lot of cases also reduced carry weight and no fast travel lol

I know there are mods for all of that in skyrim, but I really wish it just had a built in mode for it.
