>>707955237
Ok lets be real here. 90% of hondas do suck and are riff raffs. The new type r is wack. Respectable hondas arent bought, theyre built and take alot of money.

looks really comfortable to be stuck in in traffic jams
don't really know cars, but I'll take the smallest comfortable car there is, thank you.
Everyones posting garbage. Now for the real cars to get posted. Follow along
Or this new GTI concept
>>707955539
Of course the base models are trash, of any car they are. The 90's - early 00's type r's had amazing tack times for stock cars. And for ALWAYS being NA, they hold their own.

>>707956095
The Type R badges i agree with, but some grills / front bumpers or other exterior trim / interior looks far better than the stock USDM shit. But yeah, they're not a type R by any means. I have a 04 Si here in the US and the only thing type R is maybe the rear seats / non red front seats.

>>707956102
Going to do something similar to my 1982 Suzuki GS this winter :)
German cars always make me cringe a bit. I'm a mechanic by trade (not a "I work on my ebay-turbo'd Honda in my spare time" mechanic).
They're great for the first 100,000 miles or so, but eventually all their over-engineered shit breaks and the one part of the car - the engine - is held back by all the needlessly complicated shit that has shitty, expensive aftermarket support.
VW/Audi 1.8Ts and 2.0s being the main culprit. Mercedes is good and BMW is hit-or-miss. German cars make me want to bash my head into a wall by the way their owners think they're God's gift to the world.
Pic related, it's mine.

My goal is to enjoy the car, no matter what car i buy someone will always be faster depending on how deep their pockets are compared to mine. mountains are fun, don't need a lot of power to push the car to the limits.

>no driving on normal roads, every bump is a $200 repair bill

I car is nice for day to day stuff, but if you really want something special to enjoy on the road or track once a week and enjoy with a nice beer or whiskey in the living room just by looking at it and noticing the interesting mechanical details you should really get a motorcycle.

>>707955722
>>707966412

>>707966412
I believe that except the engine it does not have a lot in common, especially not in driving experience. These cars put down a lot better track times than celicas or mr2's
>>707965258
Not in my country. I'm asian so our cars are usually smaller than you europeans and americans.
>>707966708
> I'm asian so our cars are usually smaller than you europeans
This isn't exactly accurate anon
I have a Scion FR-S now. It's a lease with option to buy.
I do.love the car, but, they should really just offer it standard with the WRX engine. And then offer it with the 2.5L STI engine as well. It should also come with wider tires. If they were to do either, I'd definitely buy the new one.
>>707966790
Then it wouldn't be the price it was, it would cost like a WRX. The smaller tyres are so you can play with the power you have, if you want a fast car, look elsewhere.
>>707955884
/B/ruh!
>>707965191
/B/ruh! x2
>>707966974
I don't care if it cost more. I'd pay $40k for the car with an STI engine and meatier/better tires.
Even the Subaru one comes with better tire compound that makes the car stick better/less drifty than the FR-S. Also, the WRX at base price cost the same as the FR-S does here in the USA. About $25,000. The car is incredibly fun to drive daily, even with a lack of power. It just needs more power to back up it's good looks and handling.
>>707966784
Compare a volvo sedan to a toyota sedan. Thought so. Especially in the Philippines. My dad drives an SUV that is considered a big car in my country, but is dwarfed by a range rover.
Lexus rcf
>>707967300

Split window. rare. Friends cousin had one. Taking it to car show and someone wrecked into it.
>>707967335
These look nice but I heard they lack "soul," or are rather boring to drive.
>>707967517
Eh. All Japanese cars lack soul and are boring to drive. They're the automotive Neil Peart. Technically skilled, but a product made by and for computers.
Impressive to teenagers.
