You dont want all those bass frequencies at ear level. Put that under your desk or something. THen you want to get your two monitors at ear level facing in toward you. Get some shelves or something. Thats the best way your ear can capture the full sound therefore makes mixing easier since you are receiving all the frequencies evenly.

That's wrong, not only inherently like I discussed before, but because of fidelity wire: that is not the way your 'public' will listen to you, no one will put a subwoofer in his face, so you will make music for your desk, not for them. If you want more basses, another way to do it is to put the sub near walls, especially angles, but it's comically easy to ruin everything with too much wave bounces, so if you already hear it enough just leave it somewhere not in your desk
