I was honestly thinking about this a while ago, Why not have a two drone system one with a radio signal and a larger one with a satellite signal. The large one would carry the smaller one like the jetliner that lifted the space shuttle. The smaller one would fly off and then proceed to rely information to the bigger one to the satellite and then back to you. so you can get closer without being detected by radar and not having some massive drone buzzing around the air field and they wouldn't be able to catch you once you flew the large drone back, maybe the small one but who cares it would already be out of range.

That entire region (and there's a lot of it) has several different sources of ECM on standby at all times. (Electronic Counter Measures)
Even if you managed to get a drone aircraft within several miles of those warning placards it would be dropped by an ECM signal and collected immediately... And NO, there's no way in hell that you'll ever get it back.

If you pre-program the autopilot path you don't need to communicate with the drone at all and could simply have it disable all radio frequencies so it can't be brought down that way. The only way they could bring it down is to tamper with the gps signal or shoot it which would be pretty impossible I would imagine being mostly made of plastic/fiberglass and flying at 60mph+
