I don't expect this to resonate, but I have to try. I'm 27 now, and have been addicted to one drug or another since middle school. None of it ever filled the void, and it all made things harder for me. Less job prospects, lots of wasted money and time, and worst of all: I never learned how to properly cope with stress without drugs.
Find a hobby you enjoy and a good support system. Drugs will never solve as many issues as they cause. A family friend OD'd on heroin in August and barely survived but with permanent brain damage. None of this shit is the way. The first time you end up in jail with no drugs you'll realize what hell is.

I know that feeling. I'm currently in that stage because I'm quitting, again. You have to stick it out through the physical and mental pain and within a few weeks depending on the addiction things start to turn around. Every habit you kick needs to be replaced by a positive habit.
Eventually, you have to take the hardest step and figure out why you turn to drugs to begin with and fix those root causes. I haven't went 100% and fixed the root causes, so I always relapse eventually...be it months or years.
However bad things are for you now, with a heroin addiction they can't possibly get anything but worse. I don't know the right things to do, but I know with certainty that heroin would be the wrong thing for you.
