Then find it's square root figure.

>>
The pool is made up of 8 segments that are 2m wide.

The midpoint rule requires that each segment's length is equal to the length of both sides divided by two. So we have the following segment lengths:

Segment 1: (0 + 6.2)/ 2 = 3.1m
Segment 2: (6.2 + 7.2)/2 = 6.7m
Segment 3: (7.2 + 6.8)/2 = 7m
Segment 4: (6.8 + 5.6)/2 = 6.2m
Segment 5: (5.6 + 5)/2 = 5.3m
Segment 6: (5 + 4.8)/2 = 4.9m
Segment 7: (4.8 + 4.8)/2 = 4.8m
Segment 8: (4.8 + 0)/2 = 2.4m

The area of each segment is double the segment length (given its width of 2m). Therefore the total area is simply the sum of the 8 lengths above multiplied by two:

Area = 2m x 40.4m = 80.8 square metres

calculate a curve length (sqrt(2+difference)), multiply by height absolute difference, do n times, take sum

i got 95m squared. thats rounded up. i got it by assing all of the 2 meter intervals to find the length of the pool.. thats 16 m. then i added all of the mid lengths then divided my answer by 7 becuase there is 7 intervals. so i multiplied the average width of the pool by its length of 16 = roughly 95m squared

everyone don't forget that the sides of the pool are 0 in length and so you still calculate the sum with them, so it will be (0 + 6.2 + 7.2 + 6.8 + 5.6 + 5 + 4.8*2 +0) = 40.4
divide it by 9 because we count the sides,
40.4 / 9 = 4.488888
and multiply by length which is 16
and we get 71.8222
