I went to a pre screening in the cinema 2 days before it was released. Note that it was actually the first movie of it's kind before others like Paranormal Activity for example came out. At that very moment in time before the movie actually released, the rumours were that it contained actual real footage. When it was eventually released we found out that it was not true. Imagine a 14 year old watching that in the cinema in 1999 thinking it had real footage when we had never really seen movies made like that! It was scary as shit let me tell you!
