what´s the name of this comic?
It seems to be the same artist that draws the latest "The Goon" comics.

>>703757250
I was kinda intrigued at first, but this comic isn't anything special.
I like the art style and how gritty it is, but there's barely any substance to the story or the characters.
It's just an excuse to have ultra violence.
Looked up the comic and read the end, pretty disappointing.
>>703757380
pls spoil what they did to the girl that's literally the only reason i'm still here
>>703752375
That comic always annoy me. Why would she first ask "Why the ice cream?" like this is something new, then suddenly it's "yeah, I know. You eat ice cream every day". Plot writing skill on par with a camel.
>>703757515
Even if it's known THAT she eats icecream, the question of why is still available.
>>703757489
Nah, if anyone is actually interested, I'm not gonna spoil it.
Just reverse image search one of the pages or google the name of the comic if you can't wait.
It's only a few pages left anyway.

I'm not fond of it either but it does reflect how some people think, and I don't think it's detrimental to the story as a whole. Whether or not the story reflects the views of the author isn't really relevant, what is relevant is that it is the view of the main character. If the author meant the story to have some kind of moral backing then of course he's wrong, but it would still retain its inherent value
>>703758290
Yah, like what the shit.
Sure, some people might make fun of disabled people, smoe might even be cruel.
But litetrally every single person except for the protagonist (at the start) and maybe 2-3 people are just Satan incarnate.
Subtlety is not a word the author seems to know.

>>703757838
on of these days you people might learn how to image search
it's called Big Man Plans by Eric Powell and Tim Wiesch
>>703758538
you misunderstood me: I hate the motivation of the character, it's lazy and unbelievable - the rest of the comic is actually pretty good
>>703758538
You're trying to make it appear philosophical or something even though it's apparent that nobody involved in the making of the comic thought that far.
It's competently drawn violence. It's not meant to be anything beyond that. The people in the comic acting the way they do is just an excuse to make the subsequent torture and killing seem deserved.
>>703758837
>It's competently drawn violence. It's not meant to be anything beyond that.
But it clearly is more that just that. Of course it is. That is what art is. And this comic book is lazy art.
>>703758549
It's more of a power fantasy. You can imagine that someday you'll get to go murder all those people who made fun of you, and you'll magically be some bad ass who is able to kill hundreds of people with your bare hands.
That girl who friendzoned you for another guy? Well you were right. That guy was a jerk, a wife beating, queer raping, murdering jerk. You were right about him, you'll get to cruelly murder him.
>>703759030
>But it clearly is more that just that. Of course it is. That is what art is
What are you even getting at? What more is it?
Are you just gonna say 'art' because someone drew it? How does that elevate the material?
>>703759162
I agree.
I had similar idea when I wrote this comment:
>>703758837
>>703759302
It's a story someone is telling, being creative in narration, writing, drawing, composition, that is clearly art.
And art is never just a the physical thing. A painting isn't just dirty canvas. This comic isn't just some pictures of violence happening. Look at the story that it tells, look at the characters it comes up with, look at the setting it takes place in, look at the colours that got chosen, look at how the pannels are arranged, look at the wording in every single bubble: somebody has put effort in all these things.
And what I'm saying is that they didn't put a lot of effort in, making the story, the characters and the setting pretty unimaginative which causes this whole piece of art to look pretty lazily made in some aspects. And I don't like that.
You might disagree with that assessment, you might disagree with my analysis. What's indisputable is that this is art.
>>703757730
Is there more like this?
Bump
>>703759857
>It's a story someone is telling, being creative in narration, writing, drawing, composition, that is clearly art.
Yeah, that time in kindergarden when I crudely drrw a lion was also art.
Obviously you can't argue that the comic isn't art, but that title doesn't necessarily improve it. Because at the end of the day, you can't really objectivly argue against any human creation being art.
That's why it's an empty phrase.
>>703760018
Yeah... I was expecting more. Really big let down. Thought this was guy number 3 out of 5 or something. Also thought it was it was going to be his sister who was raped
>>703760018
The Goon, it's by Eric Powell.
Haven't got it, though, kust know how to google.
>>703760185
>That's why it's an empty phrase.
Only if you subscribe to the esoteric post-modern notion that "everything is art". Of course it's not.
Are you trying to argue that you trying to draw a lion wasn't an attempt at art? That's weird, what would it have been if not that?
Wow i never read a "normal comic"
Only anime. That was nice.
Is there a site where one could read those for free?
And are there some you could recommend that are less depressing? Something to laugh?
And i might even like some sex in it, but thats not too important
>>703760589
>Are you trying to argue that you trying to draw a lion wasn't an attempt at art?
Can you read? I specifically said that my picture of a lion was also art.
My point was that if my lion and this comic are both art, then being called 'art' isn't some high achievment.
Just saying it's art does not elevate it beyond what it is: Mostly pictures of drawn violence.
You somehow seem to think that slapping the wort 'art' on top, it somehow becomes worthy of respect.
>>703760729
>Wow i never read a "normal comic" Only anime.
jesus fucking christ, about fucking time! and the great thing is you don't have to go back.
>>703760729
It's called a manga, you queer.
>>703761097
Well...you have a site for me?
Ive got plenty for manga/hentai, but what is the haute couture in comic sites?
>>703760248
Yeah, wtf happened to the sister?
"Then, I remembered I also had a last letter from my sister. She married Don, who became the mayor, and who used to beat me up in school. It turned out the only thing Don liked better than beating up midgets was fucking his own 4 year old daughter. When my sister found out he killed her, and my niece. Now, he's super powerful mayor and just fucks 4 year olds and murders them afterwards."
Here we go again!
>>703760964
>Can you read? I specifically said that my picture of a lion was also art.
Sarcasm comes across pretty badly in writing and sarcasm was what I was expecting.
And I'm not saying that saying this comic is art elevates it to beyond pictures of violence, I'm saying that because this comic is a lot more than pictures of violence and therefor it's clearly art, as I argued here >>703759857
But since I have given my definition of art I'm really looking forward to yours. So far all you have done is saying what art is not.
>>703761215
As if i wouldn't know that.
>>703761359
I have no idea, I never read a digital comic, only stuff printed on dead trees.
And have a further warning: super hero comics are fucking aweful. just don't.
