Nice watch, here is mine.
started to dislike it, but not going to get another one unless it breaks
Vintage Rone. ETA 2409 movement I believe, haven't opened it up for a while.
Thank you, iv always enjoyed Blancpain watches, even have a divers watch by Blancpain.
Archi seem to hate on them though.. He's more of a Rolex.. Patek kinda guy, and will trash anything else.
Had this for a few years still love it wear it everyday
It was £100 and caught my eye so I was like shiiiyt
Got this one for 16 bucks off Amazon. Only got it to match this one outfit but became surprised by the quality for its price and like the field aesthetic
Watches are so subjective. This thread is an example of that.
We've seen smart watches for people who don't care and just like modern tech.
We've got vintage, for people who appreciate mechanical elements of fine watch making.
We've got fashion watches for people who just want something that looks pretty and runs on a battery.
And we've got high rollers.
Yeah it's pretty nice, I don't plan to change it soon but at some point I would like to get either a Tag Heuer Carrera or Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, but that will wait for some years
I have to wind it a few times a day at least the band is soft
this kind of watch says, nothing to hide here, not trying to brag.
This guy probably has a big penis and it comfortable with life
All fucking shitter-tier watches. Buy something real you fucking mongoloids
My penis is average, but my comfort in life is big. Does that count?
the watch you wear with your high top sneakers and long white sox?
noone cares that you waste your money trying to look as much like a 6th grade bugger eater as possible
but please... don't try to act like it was a good decision.
heres mine faggot. had a sick seiko diver before this which i loved but im moving up
More Chinese crap. Mushroom brand.
Look! This watch WAS $599, but now it's just $99!
Kek. That shit is worth 10 bucks tops. Shit Chinese movement, shit thin mineral glass, shit case.
>implying a watch needs to be expensive
I like its design AND it is cheap; double win.
Get back to me once you're out of your mom's basement and paying your own bills; then show me your Vecheron Constantin, alright?
>mfw judged by a child.
Never been happier with a watch, running since 1859
Can only recommend
Kek. Talking about VC whilst posting your DW. Hilarious. At least get a fucking Seiko if you're going entry level, Christ even Casio or Timex Weekender is better than that shit. Shit even a Skagen!!
And judging by your use of VC, you bloody well know it!
Suunto makes watches for athletes, divers and outdoor people in general. Not the most flashy or expensive watches but they have nice features and most are made in Finland.
>From wrist to the tip of middle finger: 210 mm
>Width of palm: 90 mm
>Wrist circumference: 180 mm
The watch I wear while I'm hiking, biking, running or at refresher training. Do you have a better suggestion for a watch?
You're not very good at reading, are you? I would never buy a VC—that was my point.
You on the other hand would, because you seem to think only expense can make something worthwhile.
I have a DW and I fucking love it. Why you have such a problem with that speaks volumes about your character—or lack thereof, rather.
But, like I said: once you pay your own bills, I'd like to see that 12 grand watch on your wrist. And if you can actually afford it on your own, I'll give you a brofist if it really makes you happy.
Just know I have found the same happiness from my watch for 11.8 grand less.
Because they both tell time, and they both appeal to my taste, and because I'll have 11.8 grand to spend on anything else that makes me happy.
Not that complex of a reasoning I take?
I have a timex easy reader, I have a Tudor heritage diver. I like both. I wear both.
You on the other hand are buying something worth shit. You need to educate yourself now, and not buy shit like that ever again. It's like paying Ferrari money for a fiat that's painted Ferrari red.
You're glossing over my point. I'll break it down.
I get you like the minimal look, in a dress watch style. Fine, who the fuck doesn't?
Now, I offer you two watches, both relatively the same:
A China made special. It's got a cheap Miyota movement too big for its case, so the ticking is loud and proud. No heritage, no love, just mass produced for the mass market. - £99.
Or a well known watch brand, nothing fancy, Timex is a great example. A quality movement, a watch with heritage in the industry, and built to last. - $99.
I'm not comparing your DW to VC or AP, that's ridiculous. I'm saying you can get so much more bang for your buck.
That point is fair enough. But you seem to be missing mine: 200 for this DW was worth it to me. Simple as that.
Could I get better? Sure. Did/do I care? Not in the slightest.
(As it happens, it's very silent and I haven't had to adjust the time in over a year now. So so far it's been a great ride.)
Too many stupid shit tier watches, here's mine faggot assholes.
1950's Omega Seamaster
Got it a few weeks back.
I understand, and if it were upwards of 500 bucks I would. But for just under 200 I couldn't care less.
But whatever financial argument all of you (or you, if you made all those posts) give, the main reason I posted still stands: it's the only dress watch I considered clean enough to wear. I scoured the web for weeks, and though it surely wasn't alone in its class (Skagen, Guess, Swatch, even Armani, you name it), it was the only one I actually liked every detail of. The others were just too packed with things.
The only alternative I actually deemed viable in design was indeed a Vacheron & Constantin. But I'd never pay so much for a watch. I'd much rather buy three DW's and spend the rest on food for the homeless or what have you.
TL;DR: Though it's certainly not worth its price, my DW was the only <200 watch I liked a 100%. The next best thing was 12 grand...
I'm noticing a serious lack of leather straps here.
pic related mine(cept I got the white face not brown.
Fitbit blaze that my wife bought for my birthday. I think it's pretty damn cool.
They are not buddy, don't let them cheat you.. they are made in China with swiss conssession wich means "Swiss made" is some kind of brand, not actual manufacture.
Check information about, i'm not shitting you.
not the same guy but have you ever seen a DW in real life? I am only asking seeing how you mentioned the ticking as being "loud and proud" and they are literally completely silent. i bought mine it sweden as well so it was literally like 100 dollars which is an amazing price for what it is. Looks nice and so far suberb quality for it's price, with none of the drawbacks i have seen you describing. Even been wearing it more than my Omega since I bought it.
Yes. And Movado doesn't manufacture swiss made watches, you're autistic if you think any swiss that isn't swatch (those watches only last few years and die) will cost anything under $450 if u want good, budget swiss go for mido, oris, rado etc...
keep it simple gentlemen
I am that DW guy, and the exact price I paid was 162,47 euro's at Gardermoen, Norway. And after that I got a tax return from them, but I can't remember how much.
It is silent indeed, and I haven't had to adjust the time since I bought it (a year and a half ago). I'm very happy with it.
Found this one, don't know how old it is or anything. Just kinda liked it
Movado, the flagship brand within the Movado Group portfolio is headquartered in Paramus, New Jersey, and maintains design and manufacturing facilities in Bienne, Switzerland.
i would like to own this, but i cant afford it yet.
Monteblanc Timewalker chrono, rose gold.
Looks generic as fuck, you have poor taste in watches you cunt. Good luck getting a decent value on that thing, wont be much when you give it to your grand-kids, oh wait it will probably have broken by then anyway.
im just a greasy italian from new york that loves his bling but is too poor to afford a real diamond watch. ive got a silver cross necklace to match
i dont see many diamond tag heuers around, which is a shame because theyre a beautiful watch. i have the link model with diamonds around the bezel. for some reason i like this watch more than a rolex presidential. it has a nice wrist feel and its not overly expensive, even with diamonds
I'm a poor guy, i want a cheap and nice watch.
what do you guys recommend?
was kinda mad because of the wrong marking but atleast its not a complete garbage
never had to set it, keeps time more accurately than any other watch.
Cadence pi watch
changed the mechanism (it broke down) and the and the strap (worn out) bought it 4-5 years ago
I hope you smash it on the ground when your previously well kept beard gets caught in the gear on your fixie bicycle and you fall off and tangle your fairtrade hemp woven scarf on on a tree branch and choke to death, unable to call for help because you were drinking a responsibly sourced, single origin, Java Sumatran latté.
Best lume in the industry... Literally lights a small room at night
Traverse. Truly beautiful sport watch. Had it few months ago, but changed to Fenix 3. ;)
Russian. Cheap. Automatic. Runs fine. Had it for years. Love it.
I'd probably go with some variant of the Ambit3 or save for Spartan Ultra, if I needed more features. Mainly I just need the GPS, compass and barometer, so the Traverse is pretty much perfect for me. Traverse Alpha would be even better, because it has red backlight and sapphire crystal glass but it was released after I bought my Traverse.
If I had more money, I'd buy Elementum Terra Steel or Kailash.
