I understand, and if it were upwards of 500 bucks I would. But for just under 200 I couldn't care less.
But whatever financial argument all of you (or you, if you made all those posts) give, the main reason I posted still stands: it's the only dress watch I considered clean enough to wear. I scoured the web for weeks, and though it surely wasn't alone in its class (Skagen, Guess, Swatch, even Armani, you name it), it was the only one I actually liked every detail of. The others were just too packed with things.
The only alternative I actually deemed viable in design was indeed a Vacheron & Constantin. But I'd never pay so much for a watch. I'd much rather buy three DW's and spend the rest on food for the homeless or what have you.
TL;DR: Though it's certainly not worth its price, my DW was the only <200 watch I liked a 100%. The next best thing was 12 grand...

I'd probably go with some variant of the Ambit3 or save for Spartan Ultra, if I needed more features. Mainly I just need the GPS, compass and barometer, so the Traverse is pretty much perfect for me. Traverse Alpha would be even better, because it has red backlight and sapphire crystal glass but it was released after I bought my Traverse.
