The "deep web" (TOR specifically) is a load of fucking

The "deep web" (TOR specifically) is a load of fucking shit.

Finally took the plunge recently to see what the hype was about.

Firstly, it's tiny. There's literally fuck all on there. Kept going back to the same links and pages, even just randomly clicking away.

Secondly, nothing works. 95% of links are dead.

I was worried about clicking on something I didn't want to see, and getting arrested or something, but I needn't have bothered. I ended up getting annoyed and just clicking any shit, even if I wasn't sure, and nothing of any note or worth came up.

Found a few drugs sites - dodgy looking as fuck, little/no choice, and even then (surprise surprise) the sites were broken so I couldn't have ordered anything if I wanted to.

TL;DR - The "deep web" is just a stupid fucking troll//myth made up to intrigue people who've never bothered. It's the internet equivalent of some high school guys telling some kids there's porn magazines hidden in the woods.
>>
>>702902288
People who want to find drugs and cheese pizza know exactly where to get it.

Everyone else fucks right off, cause most people don't care/don't want to go there.

Tor ain't shit anymore, because everyone knows the feds are watching it now.

Fuck off, newfag.
>>
>>702902288
Nope, you just are retarded
>>
Long bait doesn't equal high quality bait m8
>>
>>702902663
Like me, most people go there out of curiosity. Also like me, people are looking to see if the drugs thing is really worth it. It isn't.

Partly in response to you, and partly in response to this idiot (>>702902674) how are people meant to find these drugs sites? Just magically know the .onion address? Have it telepathically transmitted to them?

There's not even a working TOR search engine.
>>
>>702902725
Was going to put this in the original post, but this isn't bait. Seriously, it's just exasperation and amusement at how people fall for this shit.

I suppose it makes sense - people would like to think there's some magical wild-west hidden internet out there. There simply isn't though.
>>
Eh, i used to go on there for cp a lot back in 2012/13. Haven't gone on since due to the attention its gotten.

You obviously don't know what you're looking for. It's easy to find stuff if you know where to go. I always recommend getting in some contact with people who can direct you where to go and invite you to sites. Id frequently be invited to Red Rooms and use to partake in them regularly.
>>
>>702902972
Yeah, that's one of the main reasons I was scared to even use TOR. I was worried clicking a random link would turn out to be pedo shit, and I don't want to see that nor be arrested.

It amazes me anyone used TOR for the kind of thing - you might as well write to the feds and tell them what you're doing. I now assume that was also a myth.
>>
>>702903250
The only reason the feds were able to crack down on tor was due to them lucking out. They caught some idiots who fell for honeypots/something stupid, searched their comps and found the sites. The rest is history.

I never got caught, but then i only viewed it. I never joined or shared content.
>>
>>702903250
Long as you didnt enable cookies/java like a nub you were fine lol
>>
>>702903096
>>702903114
Yep, looked on there. One of the first places I looked for links in fact. A load of shit. Most broken, the rest were just awful. Like a Soviet supermarket days before the union fell.

>>702903225
This backs up my point perfectly. Anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge knows Red Rooms are a myth. Yet it's a nice little story to get people interested. It perpetuates the myth. Clever.

Also -
>It's easy to find stuff if you know where to go.

Again, how? Magically have addresses beamed to your brain?
>>
>>702903456
Red Rooms definitely exist. They're hard to find and cost heaps but they're definitely out there. I've seen multiple screen shots and various different ones.

What other ways are there besides TOR? Just curious
>>
>>702906286
This is exactly my point. The "deep web" is just random data, nothing interesting.

TOR is just a tiny part of that, perpetuated as some underground secret internet, but it it's largely just dead links and nothing interesting.
>>
>>702902288
>tor = the deep web
This is where you went wrong
>>
>>702902288
All private networks not accessible from the internet are by definition called the deep web and therefore yes, the deep web makes up a huge part of the "internet", educate before you debate.
>>
deep web =/= dark web
>>
>>702906362
Again, exactly my point.

As for these "links" you can't find on pastebin - if more than about 3 people were aware of these links, they'd be all over the internet, TOR and clearnet. So even even if there are super-secret links that no-one knows about, they won't contain anything because of the very fact no-one knows about them.
>>
Wtf is a redroom
>>
>>702907033
>>702907054
I was talking specifically about TOR you retards, hence why I said TOR in my OP and put "deep web" in quotes, because I know when 99% of people say "deep web" they mean TOR.

I know the real deep web is vast, but as we've said, it's just stacks of data that is meaningless to people.

To fucking spell it out to you idiots -

The notion that TOR (incorrectly but normally referred to as the "Deep Web") is a treasure-trove of drugs, porn, assasins, and all sorts of dodgy and dark shit, is a TOTAL myth. There is NOTHING of any note or worth on there.
>>
>>702902288

>they won't contain anything because of the very fact no-one knows about them.
Do you honestly think that there aren't groups of people around that can't keep a secret?
Really, 3 people? I think you have a misconception that the only thing on there is cp, drugs and online marketplaces.
You realise how much of the traffic is from countries like Iran/Saudi/etc? The tool was built by the government in the first place, what use did you think they had for it?
>>
>>702907429
>The notion that TOR (incorrectly but normally referred to as the "Deep Web") is a treasure-trove of drugs, porn, assasins, and all sorts of dodgy and dark shit, is a TOTAL myth. There is NOTHING of any note or worth on there.

>>702907321
Supposedly there is sites with live feeds (with chat) where people pay to watch a person get tortured and killed. It's like twitch tv for snuff. There is stories floating around but I've never run into any evidebce of it. I don't doubt that one probably existed (people are horrible by nature) but I've never seen any direct proof
>>
>>702907530
Err, read my responses. I'm saying that the misconception most people have that it is cp, drugs, and marketplaces is a myth.

As for secret communication - yes, I get that is a use for things like Tails, TOR, and other end-to-end encrypted communication that leaves no trace.

In some instances this is good (allowing people living under oppressive regimes to communicate) and in some ways it is bad (allowing terrorist to plot shit).

Of course, this only works in shithole countries like Libya where the government are useless, hence the Arab Spring being planned without them knowing. In an advanced country like the US or UK, the government would intercept that shit, hence why terrorists keep getting busted - a good thing too.

But that's off the point - my point is that TOR is not some treasure trove of drugs and guns and secret societies. Yet plenty of fuckwits think it is.

the whole point of these sites is, they don't want newfags like you visiting, if you have a contact and know what you're doing there is some really crazy shit to see.. you will never see it with your noob attitude though
>>
>>702907721
It's funny how people believe this shit and automatically think "yeah, the deep web is all secret and shit, that sort of horrible stuff must be on there" but on THIS VERY FORUM there is currently a rekt thread where you can see that exact sort of shit many times over.

Watching videos of someone getting killed isn't illegal you know?
>>
>>702902288
lol OP alot of websites get taken down all the time and come back up, i personally have seen plenty on there, to get more of a idea watch the you tuber someordinarygamers
>>
>>702907721
There's also a story of a hacker who managed to hack a red room website without permission. The funny thing is he got caught in the end and had to destroy his whole server, crypt, everything and move out. It's kinda easy for a user to get hacked these days. It's all about forensic shit which I think it's kinda pretty cool.
>>
>>702907898

>>
Thanks op. >>702902288

I always wanted to check out deep web/tor, but now I'm less curious and won't waste my time
>>
>>702907905
there is a key difference, with random clips on the net you're just seeing a relay of data which exists. through red rooms, you're actively participating with and funding a real death/torture, not just seeing a relay of it sometime later
>>
>>702908056
Torch is a load of shit and brings up nothing.

The Hidden Wiki (all versions) are just full of 90% broken links, and the ones that do work are utter shit you couldn't fool a 10 year old with.
>>
>>702908064
Well if it were true, there's not much difference there for the end user. Seeing someone get killed in real time or on a recording is still not nice. Most of us are accustomed to it due to seeing that shit regularly on the internet, but you get my point.

Anyway, can everyone shut the fuck up about Red Rooms now. We know what they allegedly are, we know they don't exist, and we know only a retard thinks they're real.

Until someone comes up with a screenshot or a video, that's how it will remain, so stop with this bullshit.

Going on onion and expecting to find "hidden content" just by clicking on links is extremely stupid attitude. On the other hand, if this made you think that there is nothing on tor, it worked just fine. We do not need more idiots here.

>Red Rooms
>Calling them Red Rooms.

God dammit guys can you not try to be cool? Nobody, follow me on this, NOBODY calls them Red Rooms.
Who the FUCK would? The only people who know what a "Red Room" is are people who have never been invited to one. That'd be like calling your friend in the middle of the sidewalk on your phone and being like "Hey can I come over to your place to do crystal meth with you?"
Nobody would fucking be that stupid about it.
I don't know who started calling them "Red Rooms", but damn it pisses me off. They didn't have name, nobody ever asked anybody if they wanted in a "Red Room". You know what the question that was actually asked back in 2004~2008 was?
"Wanna see something?", "There's a webcam up you should see.", "I found another one of those fucked up ones, wanna come with?"

I really doubt the language has changed much since then.
>>
>>702902663
You are literally retarded. TOR was developed by the feds for agents to use with out getting tracked. It has to be anonymous by nature for people that use it otherwise it becomes useless as a tool for hiding government agents Web traffic
>>
Did the intel exchange get shut down, removed or moved?
>>
>>702908315
Actually there's quite a difference psychologically. If you are funding for/against certain punishments, you will pathologically assume some degree of responsibility. You are torturing them by proxy, essentially.
Sure it's not true for everyone, but most people would experience this to some degree.

Additionally having it live brings up questions of IF it's real or not. Rekt threads tell you what will happen before you even go into them. These kind of rooms would have no significant limits on what could happen and requests would be highly common.

It's not hard to track and find out someone's identity even if they're using TOR and being very fucking careful.

How do you think sites like the Silk Road got shut down and the owners arrested? They weren't some stupid kids logging onto TOR using the family computer with Java and all sorts still running. They were pros running a multi-million dollar business who took extreme efforts to stay untraceable. Yet when the feds decided to go after them, it was a piece of cake.

If that were the case then there is no way it would have stayed up for so long with so few arrests. I certainly wouldn't trust the post-Silk Road marketplaces though, now the government knows what is up

Tor used to be more accessible without much of a learning curve in terms of finding and accessing content. There was a video hosting site that had nothing but hardcore cp (and lots of it) that was very popular up until a lot of the sites were busted and it had direct links from the hidden wiki, which was indexed on clearnet via tor2web and other sites like that. The fact that you can't find anything relevant is just a symptom of the large busts and people being more careful. It's just like the death of p2p.

how do i get shrooms via the deep web? i don't know anyone irl who sells anything other than marijuana and cocaine
>>
>>702908514
The deep web is a ton of encrypted data that the public cant access easily. Places do exist that will only grant you access if and ONLY if you understand networking. The general "Deep web" term has been twisted by newfags as an underground marketplace - and while those do exist as well, its a tiny portion of the web.
The "Endless" word is probably used to describe how long it can take sometimes looking through dead link after dead link, finding one that works, and occasionally coming across something as simple as an email address. you send one out to it, and a guy responds after a week saying you're on a mainling list, and they want you to connect to X Ip using X proxy via an anonymous connection, and that the site will exist at that domain for 5 days, then go offline, change server over the next few days, and then you get a similar email. Why the fuck do you think so many links are dead? They're indexed and then they dont exist anymore. Those guys wont put an easy "Hey we moved" like people on the consumer web. Its things like if they dont see your login for a week you're off the list and you go back to looking for one of these little leads.
And yes the "Deep web" can be terrifying to some as well. Some guy wanders into it, comes across a newly indexed site, and its some chatroom under the guise of satanism. Worth a little chuckle especially when you realize that there are actual people there talking about wanting to burn down said church. Now, say this guy is a dumbass and doesnt notice that he's had a file transferred over to his documents becasue this guy, thinking he's cool is using windows 98 or some outdated shit with known security holes or just hasnt updated his OS in years because they're using a badly pirated version of it. Unlikely but possible. Now lets say this file is a keylogger, and it goes unnoticed for a while. guy types his social into a loan website. Bam, I'd say the repercussions are pretty terrifying...

My point is, The deepweb is there, its just not what you think, and yes, shitty stuff happens out there, things go dead faster then harry potter can say quidditch... and theres not much you can see with just a basic knowledge of how it works. Oftentimes they're temporary domains where access is via mailing list...

I know a few people who ordered off Silk Road when it was up and running.

Most got nothing, just lost their money. One or two got the gear, but it was utter fucking shit.

One guy got a letter of HMRC saying they'd seized a package at the border, and could he provide info as to whether he requested it, and if so where from. He ignored it and heard nothing else.

I normally hate the word "projecting" as it is normally misused.

I think it's right to use it here though...

Oh yeah?
Let aside the question if they exist or not but:
How is it done on the technical side?
Do you have a seperate browser for this and if so you cant use it on a live system.
TORs bandwidth is far too worse for streaming let alone a redroom-livestream.

I already answered that in this very thread. How fucking stupid are you my friend?

Read a dictionary - the deepweb is content that is not indexed by search engines or linked-to elswhere on the internet. By definition you're not going to find the deepweb on a search engine or an index site you stupid fuck.

other currencies are usually traceable, you moron. If you really want to go through all the trouble, you can use carding websites.

Find a local dealer. Any internet marketplace that uses real currency is unsafe

Nigger: Sure dude, what you after?
Anon: Um... the illegal kind?
Nigger: You serious? You a cop or som'ing?
etc. etc.
>>
>>702912548
dude, you want to get weed, go to your local pizza joint, chat with the people working there for a while, look for the middle aged drivers that look too content with the job, say whatsup when you can and if you get to chatting, just casually ask if he knows someone to get pot from, hand him some cash. if the dude doesnt pay you back go up to his boss and tell them you saw him smoking a pipe in his car while making a delivery by your house - teach him to cheat you.

Seriously.... Everyone in the pizza business smokes- because thats a job that only drug tests if you get into an accident.
