Car Thread V.5
Post a picture of your car or one that looks exactly like it and let people judge what type of person you are.
I'll go first.
My brother's girlfriend drives that exact same 328i. Should've gone n54 like a real man and tuned it for 380 rwhp on stock internals.
Your thoughts on this one.
Not mine but soon .. could be.
Mine's not this low, but E36lyfe.
Tell me all about me. Other car is a Forrester FXT
I haven't taken any pics, but this is EXACTLY the same car.
1996 Pontiac Firebird.
5th car. her name is "fuk you niggers i m better than you cunts
How about don't drive too fast you fucking asshole nigger. People like you deserve to have thier license suspended and sent to jail. The street isn't a racetrack you fucking faggot. You can go and kill yourself, but don't kill others with you and put them at risk too.
Again, go fuck yourself up the ass fucktard, hope your insurance was raised 100%
Pretty impressive mate. I like the car, and it shows your parents are good with money. Good for you. My parents, well dad is dead but he was a dick anyway, so karma got him, and my mother hasbad money management habits.
Thank you. Unfortunately its just a 530i with the m54b 30 . i have the M5 bumpers front and back. Nothing done to it. Just maint. on all the common fuck ups the car model has issues with.
Easy for you to learn from though. I haven't taken a dime from my parents in over a decade (31 now), key is to use money wisely and wait to have kids. I bought the maserati when I was 29 and it is an absolute blast. Partying is fun, but a waste of money. Also, don't show off for women. Most women out there don't even know what a maserati is, they only care that it alludes to fact that I may have money. Better to win a girl with personality and then show her the cars around the third date.
Performance and aesthetics mostly. It has the Ferrari built F136 motor, it's an extremely comfortable ride as well. I did buy for the badge as well, but it impresses more men than women by far. I understand I could have bought a cheaper car and modded it to be faster but the maserati is one of the more beautiful cars and it sounds fantastic with the Maranello X-Ost equipped
Well, huge miss on performance, they are fairly slow and for the price, they are slow as shit. You are in M5/GTR territory at that price along with quite a few other options that would blow the doors off it. They are pretty and sound amazing though.
I live in Bavaria so driving an M series here is like owning a mustang GT in the states. My wife wants an M series, I may get her one next year. As for the GT-R, I know it's a great car, mechanically, but I don't have the same love for the design.
I would say for someone that doesn't have a great job, it's okay but still not enough, I maintain money pretty good but a lot of times stupid shit happens where I can't catch a break, some dental or doctor shit or other things needing to be done tampers with any hope in having a sports car anytime soon. I got a comfy car that is reliable. It's the 03 Grand Marquis somewhere above and I also got a 95 F150 I am fixing up and getting ready to register hopefully soon. Other than that, I have spent money on a decent PC build. One day I hope to be in sports/super car bracket.
E36, nicest body BMW has ever came out with. My old Dinan E36
One of these, 2.0 selespeed, and...
R8, Jag F type R, 911 turbo, Merc AMG GT, if you want to go different for the area you could get a viper or a Z06, there are shit tons of cars that outperform the Masarati, many of them cost less, so don't say it was for performance, cause it wasn't.
Just keep being smart with your money. Maybe start with an older or cheaper sports car. I have a 69 corvette that I bought 8 years ago and that was my first sports car. I was driving a 98 Ranger as a daily driver at the time because they're cheap and easy to maintain. Since I only put 500 miles a year on the corvette, there isn't much to maintain. You can actually pick up an early 80s c3 corvette for relatively cheap right now
AMG GT is hideous in my opinion, I already own a 69 corvette so buying another seemed a bit much. I also have a Porsche Cayenne S for a daily driver and I'm somewhat large at 6ft and 250 lbs, I don't fit in the 911 so well. I wanted an R8 but the maserati just happened to have a better deal when I went shopping. Finding a new Viper in Germany is ridiculously expensive, a base model will run you north of $100k
...and pretty much this one, minus the bling tires.
Vettes are nice. I know someone who got like 5 of them but they own a successful multimillion company so that explains that one. My future plans are pretty set in stone, next step is getting a home. Tired of renting. Then after house, then hopefully start getting into sports cars.
2012 Civic Si with Comptech supercharger.
Will post supercharger next.
Did you pay someone to install that supercharger or do it yourself?
FYI. If in the states you buy the GT Mustang or everyone will call you a fag. A Mustang without a v8 is not considered a real Mustang. The non GT version is for females only. An M series BMW in the states is very rich. I live in Detroit Michigan where cars and car collecting, especially classic cars, is a common hobby. I would post pics of my 69 gto judge but it's been in magazines and is all over the net at this point and you Asshole could easily dox me so I'll post my 328i instead
4-wheeled cages sucks! In my city they're only good to wasting hours of your life and tons of your money every day while you standing stuck in the infinite traffic jams.
That's why I don't drive - I ride.
Can you get anymore cookie cutter than a BMW? That's all I see on streets near my home. Oh, and the new BMWs powered by engines with less than 6 cylinders coupled with turbos are absolute trash.
Fuck outta here. Seriously. Go with something more unique. Cover those BMW logos up with tape and your left with a shitbox...
That's an older BMW, moron. No one cares about your outdated POS. What I'm saying is most consumers can't afford new BMWs with V8s, so they go with little 4 cylinders powered by a turbo. Oh, and if that turbo breaks after the warranty which are they commonly known to do, enjoy an expensive repair bill.
Also, clean your cloudy, crusty headlights, faggot.
You're entitled to your opinion I guess but I'd like to know what everyday driver car on the market isn't owned by a million other people? I bet you're posting this from a phone someone else within 20 feet of you is also holding. Why can't you be less cookie cutter anon? Tbh it sounds like you're a butthurt teenager who doesn't realize the 328i has won the car and driver best car award more than any other vehicle. But by all means go buy a snowflakemobile whatever that is.....
BMW douchebags triggered.
Drives like a Prius... without the gas mileage of a Prius.
I have spintech 9000 mufflers on it and 18x4 tips running true duals
But mines not a z71
I can tell you are a bitter adolescent with an emerging knowledge of how difficult it is to get over not being born into wealth or the incalculable risks in attaining such.
You can go fuck yourself you worthless piece of shit.
thread has been shit since its inception... congrats op
Ww? You mean Woodward? Of course. It's been to the dream cruise many times and I've taken it to autorama as well. I'm actually moving to royal oak so Woodward will now be in my backyard.
>not owning a BMW
>means your poor
>owning a BMW
>means you have money
KEK. most bmws on the road including ones ITT are cookie cutter middle class cars. you're delusional.
Toyota Celica 1995, bit out of date and grey instead of this colour. just cheap, really the only reason I have this instead of anything else, picked one up for like 1400.
>claims trollin is a waste
>claims memes are a waste
>possible arguing with a 4yo
Using your time wisely, eh? The irony. Go bag some groceries and push some carts faggot.
yup, or over a ICBM.
But I have a lot of sex inside.
>A car wash
Confirmed retard. Enjoy dem micro scratches and left behind grime and dirt. If you truly value your vehicle, you hand wash it properly and apply wax. It's time for you to leave the thread...
Too much to explain. Properly washing a vehicle you care for requires a lot of time, products, and work. But the results are worth it, and it preserves your paint and clear coat. If you're asking for advice, YouTube has a plethora of videos that can guide you.
Well the car is now 7 years old and it's my everyday driver. It's definitely taken a lot more dings and scratches from rocks and shopping carts than it has "microscratches". You guys are funny with how much emphasis you place on things that really make no difference. The 69 GOAT I have with the mirror quality paint job is a different story.
Yup and damn proud too. The car is great. Awesome at night when in the far left lane doing 70+mph on the highway and everyone gets out of the way thinking it's a cop car. Thinking they wouldn't since because Explorer's and Taurus's are the main cop cars now. Oh well. It does everything I need it and I am hard on it too, it just doesn't break.
Go on and get your jealously on. Mine is the white gxsr-1200r
Yep this is exactly why all the non hand washed cars are falling apart right? Get over yourself it doesn't make any real difference over the life of a vehicle. You hand wash guys are the same people calling everyone else savages for not using silver tip badger when they shave. It's just not necessary except for your own wacked out ego.
Eh. It's nothing special, especially considering I haven't changed anything since buying it, other than the dead battery. It does its job though, and it does it well. Pretty much all I was looking for - 4 seats, good stereo, no engine problems, looks decent. once i get a decent paying job i might start looking into improving the engine or whatever - sorta small street race scene here where i live.
You got me bud. I'm definitely an idiot for driving literally the top rated sedan of all time. I bow to your superior intellect and matchbox knowledge of automobiles.
1994 Cadillac Deville Base model.
Took the picture before I bought it which is why the for sale sign is in the window.
Premium gas is a bitch to pay for.
>i drive a bmw, what are indicatoe lights?>>702667539
>yo guys, i graduated so my grandpa left his car on me yassssh
>i want to buy a sportcar but i don't have enough money so i bought this
>i hate driving, seriously, i'm more into pushing cars, so i bought this alpha
>i played a lot of need for speed, and i bought a subaru, trust me i'm a rally driver
the n54 can go well over 380rwhp on the stock internals, people have pushed it up to 440 on the stock turbos even. also, fuck the 3, 1 series is where its at.
Looks like someone is mad about their poor decisions and can't take responsibility for their actions. We have speed limits for a reason dick. My only regret is the crash didn't kill you.
I don't know, countries with more liberal speed limits show fewer wrecks. Every driver thinks they are great drivers, but they really aren't. But I can really drive well at a high rate of speed. I observe most drivers making so many mistakes on the road. I suppose slow speed limits are great for Americans, because my fellow citizens can't drive.
Sorry to hear about your R. I have a mk7 GTI like the one below. I enjoy it quite a bit.
My first vehicle
Just went out to crank it up make sure it's running good
Plenty of power
So naturally the "bad drivers" should be compensating for the fact that some asshole is speeding around town like he was king shit. Also population plays an important role in statistics. Have you ever taken a statistics class before?
1980 Mercedes Benz 300sd Turbo Diesel
It's a little beat up, but it runs good
You're not going to be able to explore the limits on a test drive though. Super cars are amazing with super performance. Your sales will be nannying you so I think it would be a waste of time.
Go to Las Vegas instead and do exotic car racing. Expensive but if ur going to test drive a Ferrari might as well be at the track.
don't we all.
maybe drive a miata instead. closest thing to supercar handling ive experienced, simply because of its light weight. not that its anywhere near supercar levels. its just fun as hell
My Saturn Aura. Got it at a used car place a few years ago when I was 20. It was super cheap.
like everyone that cant drive and think they can
Baltimore traffic is full of bad drivers; probably more than any state
My dream car :C
Got a '99 Range Rover Freelander, its a cool car
thx. i lucked out with this one. bought it a few months ago, only had 100k miles on it. V8, 4WD, super clean inside and out. no problems registering in the ODBII. only 3500 bucks.
and a fucking sunroof on mine. lel, i passed up a couple of others because of no sunroof. i rarely even use the damn thing.
With jokes that bad I'm starting to think you're Carlos Mencia.
Love how the dash and seats don't look like shit. It seems that 90% of the SC's have cracked seats and dash, as well as terribly faded paint.
Hows the w58 holding up?
evo's are so fucking nasty. I'd take one over a WRX any day
I drive a lancer myself. Too bad its a bitchmade hatchback version.
Plastidip is terrible looking when it isn't done with glossifier or some sort of clear coat and high metallic sheen mixed in.
>I couldn't afford new wheels, so I plastidipped my stock ones black
Nice. Had a few LS400s over the years. Don't see a lot of the SCs in my neck of the woods. When they do show up, usually they've been given the wannabe drifter treatment and beaten half to death by a teenager.
You should have gotten the Ralliart sportback.
It has the Getrag 6 speed DCT out of the MR, evo 9 MR mechanical front and rear differentials(so much more responsive compared to AYC/ACD cars), evo X hood, and optional recaros.
The Ralliart also uses a single scroll TD04 15t, so upgrading it with a direct bolt on turbo is really easy. Or you could swap on an OEM evo X twin scroll mani and choose a turbo that way as well for a bit more.
I could understand if it was a release edition car, but why a TC?
I have a 1996 Taurus sho that's been through the carwash twice a month for 20 years with no paint or clear coat problems.
Where is your god now?
Hand wash vs autowash makes no difference. What does make a difference is the quality of the paint job out of the factory which is why every jeep wrangler from the 90's and 00's turned to rust within ten years.
My dad bought it new and took really nice care of it, and a few years back he had it repainted and replaced the headlight housings which is why they look so brand new. It's at about 220k and about 100k ago he replaced the clutch but besides that it's held up remarkably well
I bought it cash from a couple worker because I wanted a commuter that still had a little bit of balls and is comfortable as fuck to sit in, because I am stuck in traffic a lot.
I just act like myself, is all. I'll give advice on how to achieve what people want, it's up to them if they want to follow it. I was lucky to have a father and older brothers who gave me excellent advice over the years.
mine is not as tidy as this one, but same model/variant

but i got this
You and your dad are smart people.
So glad you guys didn't neglect it and run it into the ground like most SC owners do. My friend ron had a fully optioned out early SC400( oem Nakamichi sound system, chrome OEM wheels, factory window tint, traction control) and his parents ran it into the ground after it was 10 years old. They never washed it, parts broke and were band aid fixed with junkyard parts, and the headlights were useless. It was quick once he started fixing it up though.
It's sitting broken in his front yard waiting to be fixed still :(
I only have an interior photo at the moment :D
Not the guy you're asking, but those stickers are more of a hassle than they're worth. I used to have one of those for the same reason as OP. Wanted something fun to drive, but still good on gas and reliable. At least a few times a week I'd have a douchebag try to drag race me at a red light. I never humored them.
dont have a pic ATM but this is the closest i could find
here ill give you a source
https://www (dot) yourmechanic.com/article/the-most-and-least-expensive-cars-to-maintain-by-maddy-martin
bet you wont look at it because you dont like proof
eh, it's just that TC's are more economy than sports car in stock form. The thing that killed it was the 2az engine. They could have gone with the 2zz, but nope. Did you mod it at least?
Understandable, they are a good platform to build on. The suspension is pretty straight forward and coilover install is easy. Suspension mods are really beneficial to these cars. If you plan on rallying the car don't get the ST. The ST is marginally faster than the non ST models on most dirt stages due to lack of traction and the extra weight of the turbo system.
Skid Plate Guy makes great stuff. I'm working on a MK1 focus ZX3 rally car as a project. Going to pick up a plate soon, then onto wheels/tires and suspension.
Depends on where you bring it, how well it's maintained, and how hard/much it's driven. Few major repairs at the dealership could add up to $10k real quick. Transmission and head gasket? Ingest some water because some bmws have a terrible intake design? Chasing down an electrical bug?
Pics not mine, but same car. She's getting old though.
Underrated car. I remember seeing my first corrado about 14 years ago. Looked just like yours. It was stunning seeing a car that looked nothing like the hatchbacks and econo sports cars of the day around that were all the craze in the early 2000's.
>I don't want to look like Mercedes, BMW, or Nissan/Infiniti
>what should we do?
>what? We can do it, but the real question is should we do it.
>We have to be different! While we're at it, lets split the headlights on the IS to make it stand out
Goes Like Hell
>countries with more liberal speed limits sho fewer wrecks
simply not true.
The faster you go, the higher is the chance of having an accident.
If you dont understand that, you should go back to highschool, if you ever were there.
>$135,000 car on military wage
Possible? Sure. But AVERAGE? sorry but I don't buy it. That means there's just as many people paying double that number as there are people paying half that. Across my extended family we've owned 4 of these cars and between all of us haven't had to spend half of that number combined. I've had mine for seven years and the car is 9 years old. Other than basic maintenence like tires and brakes I've only had to put $1000 into it to replace a couple of O2 sensors. I'd be willing to bet these guys are copy paying some questionable data to write an article.
