Manual labor is real work, working out at a gym is playtime by comparison. Many studies have been done on this subject, manual laborers can operate on levels athletes simply can't. Same with hunters. put a powerlifter in a warehouse or in the woods and he'll drop within a few hours.

stamina is gained through improving your cardio vascular system, aka run alot with high interval training to build Olympian level cardio so u wont ever get tired, muscles do the opposite as they need to pump more oxygen.

Well I agree with you, but when doing manual labor you "train" an entirely different set of muscles. I remember when I started working in a factory. At the time I was on my country's national Tae Kwon-Do team, and I was working out regularly 4 times a week. Yet after my first week at my new job I was exhausted, my knees were hurting, back was killing me etc. But after a few weeks I didn't notice anything.
You're still in better shape objectively, if you work out at a gym, but some of the strongest guys I've met have been brick layers and concrete workers.

I'm 6'1", 260lbs(a few cops thought i was 160 lol), 36inch waist, can run 10 miles, can carry four 50lb soil bags comfortably, and can work 10+ hours in 100° weather. I've never gone to a gym in my life. No pics cuz im on my wii but genetics plays a huge factor and hard manuel labor beats the gym anyday.

My little brother trains kick boxing, and when he was training for his first fight they just drilled the fuck out of him. 10mile run twice a week and 3/4 mile every day. It paid off because he only just started to lose steam in the last round (K1), he won and it was such a sick fight especially since I had a personal involvement to it. Was amazing.
muscle doesn't melt calories. exercising to get rid of calories is actually very inefficient. it can actually lower your resting metabolism. watching your diet is the best way to lose weight.
then again losing weight can get rid of muscle mass as well. the strongest men don't look like slim bodybuilders, as cutting down to be leaner would be detrimental to their muscle mass.

the prerequisite for working out doesn't mean you have to take steroids, spend hours in the gym while wearing a stringer and a snapback while flexing in the mirror after every set.
If anyone, I would expect a bunch of gamers to be interested in working out. Its like an RPG but instead of leveling up a bunch of zero's and ones, you're leveling up your own body. Being able to run a mile a little faster month to month or being able to lift heavier is exactly what that is.
and you don't have to follow any program, thats what makes the gym boring. Just go to the gym and do what you like to do. If you have a bad back or knees there is no obligation for you to do deadlifts and squats, just use the flippin machines, the barbells or do bodyweight stuff. If you do what you like and what feels right you won't get demotivated or injured and working out will become fun consistency is the name of the game. Its better than any foolproof method of gaining muscle or program will ever be.
Also, mix things up and do something thats fun. Go hiking or bike riding on a trail. these are activities that don't feel like exercise because they're just a fun activity.

Long head bicep torn at the shoulder on left arm, nerve and joint damage to right shoulder, broken femur now fully repaired but still not properly set, full replacement of right knee. Went bush wacking a few years back and took a massive dive and tumble down steep rocky bank. Took 2 years pt to get back full mobility but still can lift more than 40lbs over head and still have trouble going from sitting to standing.
There is a lot more to working out than just losing fat or gaining muscle, working out keeps your ligaments and tendons loose and flexible, so in the event that you're injured in, say, a car accident you won't be injured as bad and the injuries you do accrue will heal faster. Its also good for the heart.
I worked with a guy that wrestled a lot in highschool and stayed in good shape after school. He'd participate in Ironman triathalons and do all sorts of outdoorsy shit. Well, he was hit by a drunk driver, His car veered into a 30' ravine and was trapped in his car unconscious with his back bent backwards like the exorcist girl for almost 3 hours. The paramedics and firefighters that rescued him were sure that he would be a para if not quadriplegic, but he only suffered from 1 slipped disk. He was injured in a way that would have killed a skinnyfat/obese person, but because he had such a strong and flexible erector spine he was able to survive what would have killed a normal person.
Look into ketogenic diet pal. Might be for you, it fucking changed me completely. Usually I'd get huge size muscles but strength would go up slowly. Whilst on ketogenic I was pissed I was gaining little mass, but realised my strength was flying, then the mass caught up after.
