welcome to my room
please join us
I just want to become a isolationist and move to the middle of butt-fuck no where, live the rest of my life without a job or social affairs.
Really? Looks like you have to do all kinds of creative shit to keep your stuff out of your way. Plus, move anything, and you have to put it back immediately. Sounds like more work.
What an interesting thought
"As you're leaving the cockpit, you head down a walkway and enter the first entrance to your right. On your left, you'll first find one of two triple bunks. After that is the head. "The Head" aboard any ship is the bathroom."
My room sucks. not cozy at all.
What a coincidence... I'm actually working on a camper trailer right now.
It's not that good yet though. :( I'm shit when it comes to wood working and stuff. Learning as I go.
Just barely got some paneling and insulation up, not satisfied with my shitty job so far, so I gotta clean it up and cheat with some wood putty and paint. :3
If anyone wants to see I'll post pictures.
comfy af, but could you imagine the smell???
>anime girls have no smell
touche, still nobody has had to live in a tiny enclosed space for months, even years
Hang on, will dump some pictures of the work in progress.
I bought this off a guy last year, and man was I pissed when I found out all the problems it had... I am basically having to rebuild almost every part of it, and fix a lot of the appliances...
Well, no, sadly. But hopefully this trailer will at least be cute when I'm done with it. :D
The whole front (as shown in this picture) is in the middle of being torn out and re-done.
Just fixed the water pump tonight, so now I can probably flush out the fresh water system and fill it up.
At least I'll be able to wash my hands while I work on the rest of it. :3

you're putting all the work in man, the investment will surely pay off. Unless you're some hippy running hitchhikers cross-country
I've learned a lot about RV's and camper trailer type things so far... they can be troublesome.
But once you fix the problems you have, if you keep up with them, they're okay.
Just... remember... water is your enemy. Don't let it get in there (other than the plumbing) for ANY reason. If you have a small leak? Guess what, it's a BIG problem.
that is why id like to live in a reefer box, all aluminum, good insulation and nice hardwood flooring designed to hold a ton of weight, plus i could tow it behind a nice rig, plus i could add my own minimal plumbing and electric
Well, it didn't look like this when I bought it. Sadly, it LOOKED better, but it was way worse off structurally. Rotted out wood and all. Still finding things that I have to tear out and all. It's rough.
The guy I bought it from, had spent a SHITLOAD of time (and I assume effort) covering up everything that was wrong with it. --__-- If I ever buy one of these things again... I'll know what to look for.
I'd be scared to drive something that could tow one of those. The truck I have that pulled this thing is big enough when I've got this thing hitched up, and it's only like 20 feet long.
How do you guys feel about building up a Sprinter?
something like this is easy to drive with a 9 speed
it's not that hard to engineer your totally cosy live space that fits into a Sprinter or Ducato/ProMaster
thanks to technology, you don't need anymore large appliances and stuffy things.
- books, tv set, vhs+dvd+bluray, tower case computer: replaced by a notebook or tablet
- hifi stereo: useless, since you have earphones
- stove+vent: replaced by hvac
- windows: only needed if truly remarkable surroundings; an emergency vent window is almost always more than sufficient
a cosy micro home only needs:
- essentials (water, electricity, internet)
- protection (against bad weather, animals, burglars)
- maintenability (easy to clean, fix, reconfigure)
- breathable (not too cramped, not easily smelling)
>tfw I live in Texas
>mfw all these tiny fucking rooms
>inb4 weaboos vs rednecks
"Microhome" is just a way for NYC/Cali richfags to fuck over everyone else. Oh, you need to live in a tiny shitbox because we need the extra space for our $100m estate. Japan has plenty of room, it's just reserved for the rich, forests, the Emperor sure as fuck isn't moving to a cozy apartment anytime soon.
