can't forget this one, then
CC is my fave. i know the purists gotta pick the old ones but i literally love every song on CC. So many dynamics and it flows so well. I just feel like the earlier albums weren't so interesting.
so glad to see someone bring this album up. criminally underrated.
I still don't know why some people hate this album so much
tried listening to it, did nothing for me. i'm not A E S T H E T I C enough.
niggers of mine
the best JP album
Yeah they're underrated as fuck
Btw I just listened The Dark by Metal Church, it's fuckin great, Im definitely gonna check their other records, I can't believe I didn't hear them before
yeah, Metal Church kinda falls by the wayside when discussing thrash metal, which is a damn shame. i love 'em.
that's disturbing. i think you need to put your priorities in order.
gonna be frank here, i've only listened to Blackwater Park from Opeth's discog. i assume i should check out Watershed.
aren't you associating with it right now by actively saying how much you hate it?
Blackwater Park is my favorite Opeth album, however Watershed and Ghost Reveries come in as close seconds for me personally
Here it is.
sadly still better than whatever crap that OP posted.
had like 6 minutes of good music out of the whole album. They just keep getting sadder with each new singer.
sounds good. i'm checking out the new Blood Incantation, but i'll flip on Watershed in a bit.
i didn't like it when it came out, way ahead of its time, was too used to t.i, jeezy, soulja boy, 50 cent etc then
this album really grew on me, without it there wouldn't be Drake, Kid Cudi, Travi$ Scott etc
you guys are pretty cool. add this one too
Languages is fantastic, always thought Exoplanet was 10/10 material as well
Traced in air imo is better but anything by Cynic is a fuckin solid choice my dude
ayy you got it my man
Really? Only ones I even vaguely like are Their Name Was Treason and Common Courtesy?
Don't know why I put that question mark there.
I genuinely don't care if you hate Kanye to death, but if you say you don't like this album then I know you haven't listened to it.
never actually listened to The Contortionist. probably should considering i'm getting deeper into prog metal nowadays.
i used to prefer Focus but now that i'm having my prog renaissance, i wholeheartedly prefer TIA
The Mars Volta - Bedlam In The Goliath
really? I mean it's not a bad album bud De-Loused and Frances are so much better. Hell even the EP is fantastic. Bedlam just seemed too pretentious and not enough good ideas. Maybe it's cause I heard about how much of their writing takes place in editing and not really jammed out and I think it threw me off. Amazing band live though.
Consider this and album and pic related
I've been listening to a lot of prog/djent and these guys kill it.
No idea. Just found them while browsing for new music and they were fantastic. Their songs are similar, but they sound so unique I was hooked. It's not exactly groove, but more chill and relaxing metal, which is really nice.
well, post your 10/10 albums, friend! this thread is open to the public after all.
all throughout the thread, my man, all throughout the thread
i always considered Thrash Zone crossover, but i'm not gonna argue genres like a /mu/fag
Their best and only good album IMO. I saw him live last July and wished he played more stuff from this album. He's newer ones don't have as much soul, probably the lack of self medicating.
This band, the thing that came after Taken, was amazing for the one album they were together.
I never bother with genres for the most part. It's hardcore punk to me and that's what I'm gonna call it until GG Allin comes back and kills himself on stage like he said he would that fucking pussy
"Revolution Calling" is my go-to "Fuck everything, burn it down and rebuild from scratch" song.
"WHO CAN YOU TRUST, WHEN EVERYONE'S A CROOOOK?!"
Speaking of hardcore...
Literally hanging in my basement along with for those who have heart , what separates me from you , and the eagle logo . Bad vibrations is kinda garbage though saddly
I'm stuck between this and some of the old Three Days Grace Albums...
