so I tried it but I just don't understand whats happening. Are you using different opacities on the brush? is it 100% and are you selecting colors and adding them on top?
I did the little color thing on the bottom. but I didnt really know how to use it, I finally got this result after selecting some of the shades and setting my brush to 30% opacity and just did circle after circle around the sphere.

Nah I didn't switch my opacity at all. I just used a marker/watercolor brush and I used the different values down the scale. My opacity/density was at 60 the entire time for the watercolor/marker brush.
