Never watched the movie but it is based on that. It combines the family life of Sopranos, drug dealing of The Wire and drug manufacturing of Breaking Bad. This show is fucking incredible
Always thought the wire was massively overrated, lost interest in season 3 and deleted that shit from my brain
breaking bad definitely. i know you fuckin faggots hate anything with big audience and ''mainstream'' but its the best fuckin tv series next to band of brothers. Deal with it
Watched the first three episodes with my wife the other night, she thought it was great.
I think it's what an edgy young adult book would look like if it was made into a TV show.
4/10 so far. It gets better, I guess, judging by all the hype.
I just finished this last night in one sitting and fucking loved it. The 80's setting, the creepiness, the sci fi undertones. Everything on point. If you were an 80's kid you will love this show
Is there some kind of reddit circlejerk about this show or is their some kind of plot thing I missed.
I thought it was mostly good, it got patchy at times but I like the style of humor
Colombian here. That dude playing Pablo has no fucking clue how paisa accent should sound. Other than that, watched half season 1, but Moura's accent still pisses me off. Gonna give it another shot tho.
...a bowlegged female whose sole qualification for motherhood is a womb that happened to catch a sperm of a passing truckdriver. So yeah, Ray, you're the lucky one!
At least my mom took me to NASCAR!
I like it, it's just that kind of show you KNOW redditors will cirklejerk about believing they are smart because of le weird smart humor.
Simply emmits reddiation all around. Probably author himself is a redditor
it actually doesnt have anything to do with DMT. they just mention it in the first and second episodes. but it doesnt have anything to do with DMT. theyre actually part of a different species.
watched 7 chapters straight to avoid working on my dissertation which I am about to fuck up.
Really fucking enjoyed it and I didn't think I would. The athmosphere is so comfy. I was stimming up (to study) so maybe I was overly positive that day though,
The ending doesn't live up to the story but still a good show.
You don't know what you're talking about
this show didn't get a lot of attention when it was on, but it's def funny. if you like office space or curb your enthusiasm, this is pretty much a cartoon version of that.
just watched season 1 in 2 nights. Loved it on its own for being a well told mystery horror with characters who don't suck, but I agree it would have been the perfect *blow off studying* show back in those glorious college days
This whole show feels like a chance for Tim Olyphant to be Tim Olyphant.
But I fuckin love it.
This nigga gets it
That is fucking dope
the first season up until the finale was great. never got into the second season. ive tried watching the second several times on deployments and just couldnt get into it
On my phone so no pics to post but here are some missed classics.
Kung Fu: The Legend Continues
All Star Trek series other than DS9 were fantastic (including Enterprise)
Lois And Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
Tales From the Crypt
The Sopranos and The Wire are the most on-par TV shows of all time. No other shows come that close in quality and similarities.
Also, didn't go through the whole thread yet, but I see you Sopranos/Wire and raise you a Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Writing. Accents. Makeup. Stalled plots, ridiculous romances, blue balls finales, only way to have a character succumb to zombies is have them go full retard.
Basically a soap opera with zombies.
This show is mad underrated,
made by sons of anarchy guy
your list looks like it was made by an autistic man child who never made it out of the 90s.
PS if you knew anything about star trek you would know ds9 blows the other series out of the water
Give it time and fear will start to suck just as hard. They've already had some pretty retarded character moments so far, writing isn't any better than the other show. I definitely (finally) dropped TWD after last season though. Too bad, first half of season six were some of the best episodes of the series
This show will surpass Breaking Bad because the balance of dark comedy with drama is perfect so far, and Saul is a more interesting character than Walt.
Screenshot this, by season 4 the hype train with be much larger than BB
oh i dont doubt it will be shit. thats how shows go after having multiple seasons anyway.
what got me about the show was the whole D&D aspect. not only did they play it, they were pretty much living it.
season 1 was a very long drawn out sub par run of the mill zombie movie. Anyone who thinks season 1 was good is just running off nostalgia fumes for how stoked they were when it came out.
Just watch dawn of the dead or 28 days later and you'll get way more bang for way less buck.
Season three at least had the gov'ner.
Brilliant use of drugs
Brilliant show. Top tier. Top tier for sure.
Sorry. We've been a bit weak on the PR/marketing parts in some regions.
I work for Netflix btw. Ask anything. I probably wont be able to answer a lot, NDA's are a pain, but try me.
it's doctors in a very dark and gritty new york at the turn of the century.
didn't know what to expect going in and it blew my mind almost immediately.
Patients are used more as test subjects for medical experimentation than they are as patients, everyone's a coke addict, hospital director is tied up with organized crime and has hits ordered on people, season arching murder conspiracies, axe murders, overt racism, subway cave ins. This show has everything.
Did anyone ever get into the 4chan classic Cuckoo? But seriously, i enjoyed it. i didnt really care for it tho when Andy Sandberg was on it. Taylor Lautner was pretty good tho
Just fucking kick back and watch all 5 series of this shit.
Get invested in the characters, revel in the plot journey, learn to love even the filler episodes.
There are a lot of good TV shows out now, I like a lot that have been posted in this thread. None of them, however, are as entertaining as these bad asses.
Gets better after Season 3
>after Kes leaves
Good time travel SciFi, awesome story telling and acting.
>"I'd rather sit there and watch geordi and data have a gay flirtmance for 42 minutes and then picard gives some speech on duty than watch 42 minutes of space battles, espionage, assassinations, a war where billions die, and have the star trek universe get fleshed out 100 times more than next gen or voyager ever managed to do"
That's you. That's how you sound.
Elim Garak is a better character than everyone from voyager and enterprise put together. And he doesn't even get a main credit in the opening theme.
Yeah. I couldn't tell if Eleven's actor was terrible or great, she has the perfect character for either level of ability
I don't know if it goes nowhere.
Didn't like the very end of season 1 very much because they got a little too preachy on the drug message.
but other than that I thought the plot movement was superb the whole series.
But i'll give you a pass on your appropriate use of NOICE
Any Britbongs see this on channel 4 a few weeks ago? It has combo from TIE.
>inb4 one-offs don't count
>not riding the Korean wave and watching K-Dramas
It's good, as is Buffy, but Firefly was always my favorite from Whedon. I wish it had gotten at least 3 seasons.
The Danish/Swedish original is fucking great, despite their mediocre posters.
This is massively underrated.
It's the "Homeland" or "Game of Thrones" for the Middle East telling the story of a dynasty of dictators inspired by the real life story of Dr Bashar Al Assad leader of Syria. Not afraid to shy from taboo topics either. Really uptodate with modern Geopolitics and events.
Yeah Firefly is my favourite too. It's just that Angel was so good for five whole seasons, would love to have seen if Firefly could ahve sustained it for so long.
Buffy I didn't like so much. Xander.
Orphan Black. There are zero bad episodes.
It's available on Amazon Prime, but not Netflix.
