Classical music pisses on all hiphop
>classical: intricate yet emotional music made by people who know their music theory
>hip hop: some dude talking over a repetitive beat
However if you like hip hop I don't hate you. I'm just sorry that you miss out on the finer things in life
i dont know who is trolling who anymore
>>hip hop: some dude talking over a repetitive beat
this is the opinion of someone who doesn't actually listen to hip-hop or understand the appeal whatsoever. the technical impressiveness of hip-hop does not stem from the production, or the MC's voice, but moreso the intricacies of the poetry being told over the the beat. for example:
this is a highly impressive hip-hop song, rapped by MF DOOM, who is quite possibly the greatest rapper of all time. in his second verse he says two lines
>Hackthoo'ing songs lit, in the booth, with the best host
>Doing bong hits, on the roof, in the west coast
this is a total of 4 rhymes and several other partial rhymes (words that have similar sounds like booth and roof but don't actually rhyme)
this is the kind of stuff that many people consider to be good.
don't get me wrong, though. i can definitely understand the stigma of people who are into rap and who ONLY listen to it.
I agree and we share an unpopular opinion. All of my friends who are Eminem "fans" haven't even heard Infinite.
I really dislike his work post-infinite. Too aggressive for me.
