California and it's not close. It's almost unfair since it's so large and diverse in culture, weather, geographic region, huge economy, etc.
Has major global cities SF and LA and also has other major cities like Oakland, San Diego, San Jose. Has farms and agricultures towns, mountain town ups north in the forest, desert towns down south.
Great drugs, best weed in the nation. Has fancy and high-end food as well as great local cuisine which can be found in any hole in the wall. Not to mention a diverse population which makes for tons of ethnic restaurants.
Tons of sports teams and champions, center of media entertainment and great music scenes both in LA and in the Bay.
I know people stereotype it as hippy faggot land but the fact is CA is the best state and it's really not close.
