His name is pyro
I dont think you know how hard it is to find non-cancerous rule 34
Is this good enough, it involves a fox?
>tfw i am sexually attracted to the fursona of a youtuber
what are you talking about, pyro is hot shit
alt non-rape version
Fuck the eat, and donut the fox?
"I want to seize the means of production and freely distribute the donut".
You fucking commie.
how was your day mister science man
My day was good. I think this job is going to force me to wear glasses eventually because I get headaches virtually every day; stuff is tiny. I also have a rash on my finger after I dipped a cut in acetone.
Never asked you demos, how was your day
are you able to obtain glasses that dentists use n such to see smaller things?
and thats good atleast
No, I have to stare down dissection scopes all day. I spent about 3 hours bevelling ~ 1mm thick glass capillaries and cleaning them out. I at least don't break them often anymore so they should last a few months.
Maths is scary. It lives under your bed.
please do not spook me like this
nah just a unit test
fuck, my eyes hurt from thinking about that.
the trick that I heard is to look up every 20 minutes or so at a far away place as possible.
Respect the cock
and TAME the... other... cock. I guess?
no you knob head, what topic, not unit #
I had a scope to magnify them. It's also the glare from the lights I have to use that does me in.
Yeah I believe that's to stop repetitive strain by getting your muscles to adjust and focus your eye on something at a new distance. Eyes aren't my thing. I expect many will have to start doing that once VR headsets become commonplace or we're gonna have a lot of blind people in the future.
base numbers. number in other cultures
Microscopes hurt to look into regardless of the time period really.
I think the term is called carpal tunnel syndrome, it forces your eyes to become near sighted iirc.
I hope VR does not become a thing, I doubt it will either since its off to a horrible start.
sounds miserable really.
what is number in other cultures about
we use a hebrew-arabic base number system of 10.
Babylonians used 60.
and the Mayans used 18x20.
i don't know/care. thats just what the teacher called the system that we use.
Well I think people using the more primitive models hundreds of years ago had a harder time, working with shittier light, poorer images and all that.
The carpal tunnel is located in your palm/wrist so it's definitely not that.
> "what is number in other cultures about"
The Chinaman loves the number 7. He's crazy for it.
I hear about it a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes as common as "normal" gaming. Don't think I'd be in to it.
I've heard them referred to as Indian numerals or Hindu-Arabic numerals.
Are you confusing Hindu and Hebrew, Demos?
i like abacus
is fun bead toy
just went over my math book, the Arabs stole everything from the Hindus (Indians)
it was a 9 set numerical system then, 0 was not accounted for then.
basically, the Arabs didnt do anything apart from kill everyone, steal everything, and take it as "theirs".
i want a mcchicken
glad to see nothing has changed
That's a load of rubbish.
No, what you said was a load of rubbish. The Arabic world incorporated the Indian number system in to their system was crucial for disseminating the synthesis amongst the rest of the literate world. They used and built upon mathematical theories (amongst other things) from the Latin and Hellenistic societies while Europe suffered from the fallout of Rome's collapse and well in to the medieval period. Look up people like Al-Kindi.
>Though they showed keen interest in mathematics, optics, astronomy, and medicine, the Arabs contributed little that was original.
same page last paragraph
> It is also particular that, although they had at least some of the Greeek works and could therefore seee what mathematics meant, their own contributions, largely in arithmetic and algebra, followed the empirical, concrete approach of the Egyptians and Babylonians.
The Hindus made the 10 set numerical system and also created the idea of a negative number.
The Arabs just ran everywhere, destroyed everything, and sometimes stole information.
They did little apart from translate manuscripts.
>>Though they showed keen interest in mathematics, optics, astronomy, and medicine, the Arabs contributed little that was original.
That needs a hell of a series of citations from the author.
Not much to say other than that is just contrary to what I keep reading. For example, works by people like al-Qanun fi'l tibb were the standard in the European and Arabic worlds for hundreds of years. Again, read about people like Al-Kindi and his contemporaries who has a laundry list of accomplishments.
>read a bunch of copyright infringement
what did he do that other civilizations didnt already do?
just because he put it down in Arabic doesnt mean its his own work.
Albert Michelson won the fucking Nobel Prize for science, and the man stole literally everything from Morley. The only thing he did was take other people's experiments, "proved" that they were correct and failed miserably at proving the Aether existed. Much like the Arabs, Michelson "used" people's work, put it in his words, and then contributed little that the world already knew.
given their size difference, she shouldn't be too surprised
Some serious bad history is going down tonight.
Don't worry, I won't be shocked at it's lack of girth
as in history is being made tonight?
No, people's perspectives on scientific history.
I want to know what Pyrocynical's butt smells like.
also no invite from you yet, butt monkey
If we're going to make gross generalisations based on this small body of text then the Europeans did nothing at all in the world and stole Arabic work (2-6 Early Medieval Europe, 2-7 Renaissance).
> "What did he do that other civilisations didn't already do?"
Application of mathematical principles to drug dosage, invented a distiller for alcohol, debunked old alchemical theories, and more. Seriously, get a book from the library about his life and work. There's not just him either.
It will obviously state that he borrowed and was influenced by Greek works (etc). You're rarely going to find people who did not depend on previous work. That's how the world of science and philosophy have always operated.
I hope you're not just going to disregard every Arabic scholar as a fraud/hack and because of current events causing animosity and American jingoism. They weren't and are not some kind of hivemind that only rapes and pillages.
What is incorrect then?
>Application of mathematical principles to drug dosage
within a 10 set numerical system with notation?
>invented a distiller for alcohol
egyptians did it before hand
>debunked old alchemical theories
really dont know much about alchemy tbf
>They weren't and are not some kind of hivemind that only rapes and pillages.
The Zoroastrians, Hindus, most of Northwest India (today), and some of North Africa would love to disagree with you.
might play games in a bit
WoW servers having issues so I might nap
I wish I could be in a permanent state of sleeping but also not sleeping at the same time
So you wish you wouldn't get tired.
okay I am going to go achieve my dreams
really I just want to be able to play video games from my bed without having to move my arms and stuff
In what way?
Yes and that does not invalidate the work at all or take away that achievement from him.
Note I did not say "invented distilling" or "distilling alcohol". He invented a model of distiller. Arabic physicians are also responsible for early understanding of the cardiovascular and gastro-intestinal systems as well as surgical procedures. All this information is available in your library if you care to look.
At what point did I say "Arabs never went to war with, invaded, or killed anyone"? You made the claim that an Arab has never contributed anything novel and only stole and destroyed. Societies consist of individuals, all with their own accomplishments and faults. Like so many societies it did some horrible things over the course of history.
I have to make a choice now whether to continue this argument or go to sleep and I'm afraid the sleep is more important.
your sleep is very important, and we dont see eye to eye about this.
good night m8, I hope your eyes dont take to much straining.
HOBO YINGLET IS NOT FOR SEXUAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL
tbh most of them are just random irrelevant images, I just give them zany filenames
That's alright, bazza. What's up?
Waiting patiently for at least one of my friends to buy the new ARK dlc so that we can explore a brave new world together, complaining internally about my upper back/neck pain, and being overly motherly because bf is fighting a cold and I am worry wart. You?
What's new with you?
Enjoying the newfound pleasure that is playing League with people who aren't terrible at it.
Not really much. Actually, nothing new has happened, well, except maybe what I wrote above. What about you?
Got a very nice drawing done.
Going to sell some games here or try to on Ebay.
that badger doesn't brush his teeth
Hope you make a good profit. What games?
Badgers generally care little for oral hygiene in that sense.
Zelda, Zelda 2, Mario, some random other ones.
its not we just have a hard on for it apparently
