I take xanax. Can confirm most of what you're saying to be true. Klonipin has always worked better for me. However my GP won't even entertain the idea of switching my anti anxiety meds. I told him I've read about klonipin and how it sounds like it would be more beneficial to me (in reality I've taken every benzo under the sun and just know kpins work the best). He's always super dismissive, claiming he wouldn't want to start me on Klonipin because it would be a "lifelong commitment". Coming up on 2 years of taking xanax, so he makes no fucking sense. I don't want to press the issue because despite me being 26, I Iook like a baby and had trouble for years obtaining a script for benzos. He's the first doctor to have written me aong term script for them. So I'm between a rock and a hard place. I did meth for 6 years. It sucks. After a while you don't even feel high anymore. It's just the norm. I never did any crazy shit like you see on the news and stuff though. Never fucked anyone for my drugs but also rarely ever paid for them either. A dope dealer lived in my moms house so I would usually just go hang out and get super fucked up. It ruined me though.

if it's your first time, go buy a gram. this'll range from $10 - $20 depending where you're at. if you're in a legal state just go into a store that sells it recreationally and they'll give you a bunch of advice.
for your first time i'd try a sativa, which will be more of a heady high that'll give you energy and stuff. not nearly in the league as other stimulants but it's a pleasant buzz.if you're looking for something more mellow / melty then get an indica which is more of a body high and will make you feel relaxed and fantastic.
if you're going through a dealer you won't really have much of a choice. they'll tell you "yeah boi i've got some fire OG Kush" or some other bullshit strain, but 95% of the time they're just lying to push product. Also you'll never get anything that's laced, those stories are a lie. My aunt once told me that she had a friend that smoked weed laced with battery acid, like bitch no. if you put battery acid on organic materiel it'll fucking melt.
as for how much you should smoke? load a bowl up, (a pipe) and take one hit. So put your lighter to it, inhale as much as you want, pull it into your lungs and then breathe out. Wait for about twenty minutes, if you feel you can handle more, then smoke another hit and continue doing this until you get a feel for it.
if you want to be stupid, just smoke the entire bowl and then wait. if you do this you run the risk of smoking too much and becoming really uncomfortable which could ruin the drug for you.
Even though marijuana is really safe, overdosing on it is not fun. And I don't mean "overdosing" in the typical manner. I just mean that if you smoke too much you can end up feeling pretty shitty and scared for about an hour or so.
Also don't try edibles for your first time, because if you over do that, then you'll have to end up waiting over six hours or less before you come back to baseline.
Also it's entirely safe. Overdosing just means feeling bad, not actually dying.
