There are many cannabinoids in pot. THC is the one that can cause paranoia and panic attacks. CBDs are the ones that affect the body (giving the stoney, couch lock feel). If the CBD levels are higher, that usually counter acts the paranoia feelings.
Sativas are usually high THC and very low other CBDs meaning a good chance for paranoia.
Indicas can have high THC levels but also have higher levels of the other CBDs. Therefore, Indicas are less likely to cause paranoia.

Hydrids are the product of two different parent strains and depending on the parents can run the gamut from nearly pure indica all the way through to nearly pure sativa with just about every other indica/sativa in between.
So, some hybrids act a lot like an indica with the body stone and some hybrids act like a sativa with the head buzz.
You need to know what hybrid you are smoking to know and even then grow conditions can push a plant more one direction or the other (usually towards indica, though).

I prefer Sativa over Indica for vaping and growing. Sativas can be trippy af, grow more compact, have less leafs and a broader spectrum of flavors. I like a good Indica as well but Sativa/Indica ratio is 4:1 for me.

I smoke Indica because I'm a recovering alcoholic who used to drink every night until I passed out from too many beers. Pop 50 mg of Benadryl and smoke a few bowls each night with my roommate and that puts me to sleep nowadays instead of alcohol.

I'm a hybrid guy, myself, but the only time I'd ever smoke a straight Indica is right before bed or before a trip to calm me down.
I stopped smoking weed for about 3 weeks. Just had some CBD/THC oil and I got pretty fucked. I felt a little nausious and I think I might have been experiencing ego death.(or maybe it was just paranoia it was hard to tell.) it started to make me more self aware of how I think about all my friends on a negative spectrum. Like I still like my friends but it made me realize what insecurities I might have towards them.
Anyone else experience this sort of sensation/feeling?
