Had a roomate with a cat once. Fucker never took care of it. Me and roomy #3 always had to do everything. Got angry at him for not taking care of his pet. Dude didn't even care. I think roomy #3 eventually convinced him to give the cat to his parents.

Well that's good at least. I could understand keeping the cat out of your room but just straight up kicking it out of the house and leaving it to it's own devices is cruel, especially for a cat that's been inside it's whole life.
Also exposes them to worms and other parasites if they do manage to catch and eat some animals.

To try and keep a long story short:
>had a cat when I was a kid
>first animal ever, loved the fuck out of him
>parents get divorced a few years later
>go back and forth between houses
>dad meets another chick and both her and her kid are allergic to animals
>cause of this my cat can't be inside except rarely
>sad and kinda angry cause it's my cat bitch, been here longer than you
>not much I can do about it though only being there half time
>eventually he stops coming around the house
>assume he just went back to full outside eating rabbits like he was when we found him (super sweet cat though)
>assume he's dead/never to be seen again
>few years later my mom's waiting outside to pick me up and when I walk outisde my cat's sitting there
>he's now over ten years old and mostly just skin and bone cause he's too old to really be able to catch anything

>he's drooling everywhere cause he's, you guessed it, that old
>have to take him to the vet a few days later cause he wasn't gaining any mass despite eating a lot

Ya, teared me up a little.
Had a couple cats with my mom that we had to take to the shelter when we moved cause the other apartments wouldn't allow animals.
Then I had a cat when I was with my ex. Another gray tabby that I loved to death. When we broke up I had to move back in with my mom cause I wasn't making enough to support myself. Animals weren't allowed in those apartments either. Cried more about not being able to take my cat with me than breaking up with my ex.
