That's the correct term for people building rifles that use the original correct parts..even if the original part is old.
You have clone groups for M40 variations, SPRs, M14 DMR, etc... Even Mk13 mod 5's which are about $10k if you do it correctly. It's fun because it's all about hunting down those rare parts. It's sometimes hard to justify spending 1k+ on a correct scope that has mismatched moa/mil turrets/reticle or second plane focusing (like the Leupold MR/T 2.5-8x36mm which is correct for MK12 mod 1+ builds. It's kind of cool because you're owning a piece of history.
