Also, obviously, nobody has ever taken flat Earth seriously. The thing people confuse with flat Earth is geocentrism, the belief that the sun orbits the Earth, which was taken seriously for thousands of years.
The reason for the dominance of geocentrism for so long, basically up until Kepler and Galileo, is that heliocentrism had trouble explaining why the background stars don't move throughout the year. The answer is, they do move, but you need high-power telescopes to see and measure it. So in ancient times, a heliocentrist would have to posit not only that the sun is very far away, but that the stars are inordinately further away than that, which wasn't seen as a very credible position compared to the elegance of Ptolemy's model.

Now I put to you this. According to the video, what us spherical earthers refer to as "the north pole" would always have sunlight on it (which we know is not the case because of the well known months long night cycle in the furthest north). Why would the "pole" not melt? If the earth is flat, then the "north pole" should be the same distance from the sun as say Ohio during some of the sun's rotation. The obvious answer is that the "pole" would have to be further from the sun (read: deeper into the crust) and would readily fill with ocean water.

For the sun to be that size and to still be a sun (ie. burning) it would need the same amount of mass as it has in the round earth "theory" (even though its fact). That means a 32 mile wide sun that you claim exists would actually be a black hole.
Also, to have a flat earth theory, you need to rewrite everything.
Flat planets can exist, which means everything we know about how planets form is wrong. Unless you want to say that earth is the only flat planet, which would make that a hell of a coincidence, meaning you atheist fags would have to accept a higher power.

Of course I can explain it. The atmosphere is not perfectly clear - ask any observational astronomer. The sun illuminates particles and moisture. From teh top of a very high mountain, look sideways and you're looking through all the atmosphere at your level and below. Look up, and you're looking through what's left and into dark space. Right, this is called "airmass" in astronomy. The amount of air you are looking through at the zenith (straight up) is defined as an airmass of one. When looking at the horizon, you can easily measure (knowing the optical properties of air) that you are looking through an airmass of about 2.5

Have ever taken a picture with a camera where you caould set ASA, shutter speed, and f-stop? Take a reading during the day. Typically something like ASA 200, speed 1/250th, f 5.6. Now use those settings on a dark night and point teh camer up at the sky and shoot. You would hgowever, see the Moon and even some detail on it It is illuminated by the same Sun. From Earth orbit, you would use the same daylight settings to take a picture of the Earth below. For the flat earth theory to be correct, the sun would have to orbit in an oval, if not an even more arbitrary orbit. If this orbit varyed even slightly (slightly in terms on a galactic scale) we would die. The probability of that happening with such an irregular orbit is extremely high.
Not only that, but to add in flat earths gravity, the sun would have travel upwards with the earth simulating gravity, while holding this ridiculous orbit. Or we would die.
