Nothing too fancy yet, just the steam version too, so don't have 2.0 or the Nevada modules. Do have the Fw-190 and BF-109 though, and the campaigns for the basic planes, A10, F15, Su27 and all that. Need a better joystick for the controls in that game though

The Ti 4200 was a pretty good card. You can play old shooters with high FPS. Like Quake 3 Arena, Jedi Knight 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein etc. All better games then CoD btw :D

Yeah the F15 is my favourite one, the weapons/flight systems are more advanced than the Mig29, and the plane has higher performance. It's a blast the just go vertical off the runway and climb a few thousand feet.
The WWII planes are very difficult to fly, I don't enjoy them nearly as much, because I just don't have the time to put in to learn them properly

A fucking 1070 will get bottlenecked a great amount by the cpu you are using... if your upgrading your cpu go with the i7 2600k if your mobo supports it that way you can still get better perfomance with your card.

It's no enthusiast-tier rig, but with a single 1080p monitor I can easily play anything older than 2014 at 60fps on max settings. Right now I'm playing through MGS V, and I'm waiting on Skyrim Special Edition to come out since I'm eligible for a free copy. I'm also waiting for the prices of Doom and Dark Souls 3 to drop, and I'm vaguely interested in No Man's Sky but I can't see myself playing it for very long. Seems like one of those games that's as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle.

I actually play very little games on it. Some racing games, mostly Rocket League with friends and lately I've been playing GTA V a bit again because I like the new stunts races. Then it's nice to have a PC that runs it at pretty much max settings in 1440p resolution.
The main reason I got such an expensive PC was in preparation for VR. Turns out the headsets are twice the money I was willing to spend on them, so I guess that didn't happen.

So far only GTA V asked for more than 8gig of RAM from my machine, and only very rarely. Depending on what you play/do, you might get around for a little more time, but then again, ddr3 ram will probably get more expensive as ddr4 becomes the standard.

Clean install is always best, but installing SSDs never gave me any trouble. SATA port on AHCI and you're good to go (assuming a SATA SSD which is the best price/value right now). Cloning software also comes with most new SSDs, in case you really don't want a clean install.

I have an xeon e3-1231v3. I decided pro Xeon against i5, as it is more future-proof. The number of games that don't like Hyperthreading is ridiculously low, I've never run into one so far and then you could still turn HT off if it's necessary. So, assuming the same generation (Haswell) and comparable frequencies, I'd go for the Xeon.
