Only post if you are far too young and clever.

What?
Would you prefer a "Come on Eisen" thread instead?
yes
nevermind i got dubs twice this is a good thread
nope
Do I have to click the link?
I'm not coming on anything.

It's not compulsory, but it is recommended.

I am disappointed that Demonology doesn't summon more Wild Imps.

Its just that they were focusing on the demons for the spec, and they cut out the demons you summoned. The AOE is crazy though.
well, freklz killed the thread again
He really needs to stop doing that
we can save him
>>697723275
You summon more demons in sheer volume than you did before the rework. But the issue is honestly the duration of the demons is too low and makes the spec feel clunky when you have to press Demonic empowerment everytime you summon a new batch
Resurrect it.
>>697720713

>>697724020
The limiter switches are all fucked up and out of wack.
>>697723626

Wizards don't resurrect. Clerics do that
People don't know how to rpg...
Anyone can resurrect if you've got enough gold.
>>697724867
Wizards can do whatever they want.
>>697723613
Honestly, it doesn't feel like I do. I used to get 5 to 7 imps at a time normally, now I have to spend 4 shards on Hand of Gul'dan to get those numbers. And yeah, Demonic Empowerment feels clunky, especially since its your mastery.
Destruction is fun, even if the mastery is shit. Cataclysm having a 45 sec CD is weird, though. Affliction is affliction.
Heals Druid is best class.
Hey Meow, if you see a group playing Werewolf at Gencon, I'm probably in it. Come say hi. (or anyone else, w/e)

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spellLists/sorcererWizardSpells.htm
I don't see resurrect on this spell list
>>697725280
I haven't played demonology in any real capacity. In bgs I can maintain about 8 imps at a time unless I get good soul conduit procs, then it's 12. I have a miserable time playing destro. Affliction got a whole lot worse in terms of game play. Dev comments make it painfully clear they don't understand how people actually play affliction
>>697724161
what does that mean
>>697726220
the switches that tell the console the tray is in and out and to engage the locks are out of wack.

Maybe your loserfag team should avoid needing heals in the first place.
Heals pretty much never outperform damage.
>>697726186
That's because you're inept
See Univ, down low.
Acts the same as Wish
One of the possible things you can do is as follows, copied from the site you just linked.
>Revive the dead. A wish can bring a dead creature back to life by duplicating a resurrection spell.
BOOM, WIZARDS
>>697726409
what are the implications
is this your girlfriend avery?
>>697726562
Most campaigns don't run long enough for wizards to get wish
>>697726606
That it's broken
>>697726784
but like, how does that render the console unusable?
>>697726471
Been there before. It was just years ago, though.
>>697726186
Its a shame, since Locks have been one of my favorites in the last few expansions. Don't know what to main this expac.
Yes that is freklz GF
Her name is Maria Montalvo
>>697726658
Moving goalposts and entirely irrelevant.
Wizards can have capacity to resurrect.
>>697726829
Because the console doesn't know when it has the tray in to raise the entire drive up, drive the laser toward the inner part of the CD. It just spits it out over and over.

>>697727594

>>697727415

A. Their own damn fault
B. I wanted them to die
C. Their death was apart of the keikaku
>>697727220
.... but i am the clown tho
Only clerics, witches, and shamans get resurrection. They're all pretty fucking expensive l, just get a druid to reincarnate you or take a cleric who isn't shit to Breath of Life you. This is why I almost exclusively play travel domain clerics.

It's not about what is more efficient, but what is possible.

At least skill checks are often survivable.
In our house rules,
If you roll a nat 1 with a ranged weapon when firing into melee your ally has to pass a reflex check to not get hit.
If you roll a nat 1 not firing into melee, you drop your weapon
In one fight I managed to kill my ally's pet alligator by rolling like 4-5 natural 1s in a row for hit, then rolling near max damage each time.
The next fight, I dropped my bow off a cliff. Went down, picked it up. Rolled 1. Dropped my bow again. Picked it up. Rolled a 2.
I don't think I managed to get a single shot off that fight and all I needed was like a 6.
>>697729854
I'm young at heart
>>697729888
Exactly. Thus, a wizard could resurrect a dead gfur thread.
>>697729064
In a 5e, 5 man campaign I convinced our barbarian to run in and distract a group of ogres and that I'd watch his back. He runs in, my turn I cast hold person on him knowing he'll fail it 8 out of 10 times and won't break out of it. He gets mauled to pieces in 2 turns but the rest of us made it past. We can't rez him because too expensive for how mangled he was
>>697729624
Monk or shaman is probably gonna be my main. I'll level my lock to 110 and will probably just pvp and legacy dungeon runs
>>697730228
why you coming here?
>>697730268
These threads have been dead for years. You'd need miracle or true resurrection to bring it back.
>>697730315
Now that's just cruel
My characters tend towards Good, but even the Neutral ones have some sort of honour/personal system.
The only flat out evil one was a necromantic Cleric who had a skeleton companion. She disguised him as a "really ill, thin man" and I managed to roll a 19 or 20 every time I had to do a disguise check.
Simone the Totally Not Evil Cleric and Mr Skeltal were fantastic. Although it was obvious to all the players, the characters never found out she was a backstabbing chain-murderer.
>>697730771
I am a miracle.
Did someone say they needed a miracle? Well, here I am.
oh hi nefel
>>697730268
My DM does that with melee attacks, but oddly not ranged. I mean, to be fair, he's pretty new even to D&D. He's getting the hang of adding flavour with 1s- that Owlbear had a bad time when it rolled a 1 while charging me and landed in our campfire.
Or the time everyone's missed attacks kept hitting an ornate, fragile shrine. Right in front of that god's worshiper.

In melee, we usually just drop weapon. Picking it up again is an AOO.
My group doesn't want to penalize a 1 too much, considering my luck is so bad that it's now referred to as "Pitou Luck" and everyone starts declaring me contagious whenever they have bad luck.

>>697732114
Well, that's why I made the Bard. The specific racial Bard type I was using, a pathfinder thing called a Dragon Herald, can take 10 on Diplomacy and Intimidate checks - even in combat.
Made Blistering Invective beautifully cancerous to use.
>>697732084
Oh. Whoops
>>697732114
oh how fun~ wheres this being held?
I never put skill into bluff, but I don't think I've ever failed a bluff check in a game for whatever reason. Notable ones were convincing the chieftan I was DEFINITELY an orc after enlarging myself as a gnome, or convincing the cultists I was a Cultist infiltrating my deity's church
>>697731593

>>697732914
I typically go travel/charm or travel/strength cleric. The former is pretty neat because it gets scaling DC Charm Person as a swift. The most ridiculous thing I did in any game was in the middle of fighting a BBEG, I had no swift actions left but to use it, and said 'fuck it, might as well.' DM yelled out 'Shit' and I was now BFFs with the BBEG. Told him I would heal him. Willing Hold Person was my standard.
>>697733895
Travel is a great domain
I had one that was luck/chaos, I think it was. Both have a touch ability that makes an enemy/ally get two d20s and they pick the worst/best one. She had like half a dozen or more of those each, on top of her spells.
I made all of her spells touch spells and roleplayed it as her hugging people. Enemies, allies. Anyone who could be physically hugged would get hugged.
Good times.
>>697732914
I karma houdini'd my way through the entire campaign. By the end only me and the Cleric survived. Our bard I didn't dick him, his own greed got him murderfucked my some sort of devil or yugoloth. I really liked that bard. Our fighter heroically sacrificed himself by in part of me separating him from the rest of the party via a wall of force. The cleric became had the macguffin needed to stop the big bad and wouldn't let my character near it so I needed her alive. In all reality I was probably the greater of the two evils between me and the bbeg
>>697732968
They just look so damn simplistic
>>697734466
I went sacred fist luck/chaos and things got REALLY silly, if impractical. Would use touch of chaos, and keep it loaded up. Get into melee, and chaos punch the energy lethal, then non-lethal punch the fighter, give him bit of luck with domain strike as a swift.

Okay, so my cleric had 9 of those each
So 18 touch spells per day, plus her spells per day
>>697734739
Yeah I've never gone that far.
My Kobold was pretty adept at avoiding my friends evil shit, just because there's some nice bullshittery you can pull with Kobolds.
>>697735113
Okay that actually sounds pretty fun.
The cleric's limitation was the people I played with weren't great, so she ended up being stuck as a healbitch a lot of the time and never got to fully explore the sheer hugmonster she could be.
My favorite early game hack without getting too cheesy for caster clerics is to spell focus enchantment and grab extend spell at lvl 3. High DC command/murderous command that lasts two rounds per cast at low level is fun, and you'd probably take at least extend later anyways.
>>697735690
I earned a reputation at the table for essentially being evil magic batman. After that campaign, every new campaign was in a low magic setting. Despite 5e's attempt at class balance, wizards are still ridiculous
>this pic is 21 years old
>>697736421
Pretty much how it is
First few levels are brutality dominated. Everything after 10 is typically caster dominated.
Best campaigns are around 4-8 for me.
>>697736421
Once every campaign, I always like to cast Shatter onto a material component pouch and watch as the DM/Wizard struggle to figure out what to do with a still living but very useless caster. After that, they just eschew materials or bring a few to battle on every one you encounter
>>697736645
In 5e Druids are busted 2-8. A competent druid warps party dynamics to such a ridiculous degree in that level range.
The least satisfying campaign I've played was one that reached 20. The best was one that ended at 11
>>697737438

>>697738177

>>697737892
Healing is worthless starting at level 3 in that edition. Healing spells scale far too poorly but I'm sure that's entirely intentional. But you are right on saves. Almost every offensive spell past 2nd level is a save spell.
