Why the Earth is flat - perspective. Look at this image of a long corridor, and you'll see how perspective works. Globe-Earthers like to claim that the reason the Sun sets, and the reason ships disappear over the horizon, is because of an imaginary curvature of Earth. However, if you zoom into the same ship that's just disappeared using a camera, the ship will come back into view. The top part of the Sun will also come back into view if you zoom in, just after it has disappeared beyond the line of sight.
See the lights on the ceiling of the corridor? Think of those as the Sun setting. The sun appears to be going "down" (because of the Earth's spin), but in actuality, this is only because of perspective - the same way the lights on the corridor ceiling appear to be going "down". This is how perspective works. The ceiling and ground eventually converge, just like the horizon. When a ship or the Sun disappears, it only does so because it has gone beyond the vanishing point of your eyesight's perspective.

I'm not posting this for a debate on whether or not the Earth is flat. I just wanted to show people how perspective works, because most people don't get this, for the simple reason that they were never taught about it in school. When looking across a horizontal plane, objects will appear to get lower as they move. It's the same if you watch an airplane above you. As it travels away from you, it will appear to be getting lower in the sky. It doesn't just vanish as it gets farther away - it appears to be moving downward. Well, it's the same for ships over the horizon, and it's the same for the Sun and Moon.

Answer me this: why don't planes have to constantly adjust the nose to maintain a downward angle in order to stay level with the Earth's supposed curvature? Scientists don't seem to be able to make up their mind on just how high an altitude we have to go in order to see the curvature of Earth. Some say you could see it flying on Concorde, which had a flight altitude of 60,000 feet. Some say it has to be 100,000 feet. I saw a rocket video on youtube taken from about 200,000 feet, and the curvature STILL couldn't be seen. I know this is anecdotal, but there are many videos on youtube of high altitude balloons and amateur rockets that go well in excess of 100,000 feet, and no curvature is ever seen, except on a fish-eye lens.
Photos from space are faked. Google pictures of Earth from space, and tell me what you see? Just CGI.

I did the same experiment and the shadow where of the same length no matter what. Eratosthenes measured the earths circumference very accurately using the Pi formula for a circle. Obviously the earth isn't a perfect circle. But he hit an accurate measure. If the earth was flat his measure would be as good as a guess. You obviously have no understanding of how light work. And how it makes perfect sense to see shadows the way they appear at different areas of this planet according to the accepted model. if shadows appeared in a more linear fashion depending on your zone then the earth being flat would make some slight sense.
