Meet this kid I fucking hate in college. He's fucking great at electronics/fixing shit in general, but he will pick fights over everything and has the biggest ego I've ever encountered. I end up buying a bunch of broken laptops(Literally over 40), for less than $150. I ask him to fix them, and after him bragging about how good he is, he gives them to me the next weekend and I sell them for a total of $600.

Homeless here. I do this so I can eat. But at every single blood/plasma center I have researched (six different companies), it's $50 a pop only for the first 5 donations, then it depends on your body weight. For 150 lbs+, it's $25/35 alternating if both done in the same week, with occasional bonuses offered. <150lbs, only $15/25.

Last Year I stared a small business.

Originally I was looking for the cheapest way to get E Liquid for vaping and I ended up buying a do it yourself kit. So I also started selling to some friends.

With tweeking everything and doing the math I was able to make a Bottle for about $2 and sell it for 20$

it took about 2 minutes to make a bottle so.... there you go. The only issue was that I did spend a lot of money for the upfront cost of supplies.

Lets say you have 5 customers that are repeats. Say they are heavy users so they each buy 2 bottles a month. That's $200 a month from 5 people and literally 30 minutes of work.

seconding

vape industry is a growing business, and it will only grow more

can you tell us your process?
>>
>>697393912
mostly its all the same.

for a 50ml bottle most of it is going to be a PV/VG Base. You can buy a liter for 30 - 40$

39ml Base
6ml nicotine (100mg Nic )
5ml flavor

Flavor is almost always 10%

the nicotine is usually the most expensive stuff but you can get it cheap in bulk, I bought it by the Liter. The flavor bottles are usually 2 - 5$ a bottle. but your only using very little of it.

I always measured with cooking syringes and I always ordered off e cig express. Tons of flavors but but sometimes youre better off waiting for stuff to go on sale. If you have 100$ you can start a small business tonight!

get a gym membership to shower in, sleep in car/ outside, make friends with college kids during school year and offer to pay few bucks for their buffet meal plan, if you have a car, maybe get a friend to help you make an uber account then drive for them

I'm old. Try to find odd jobs where I can, sell blood plasma, sometimes have to resort to panhandling (Homeless-Hungry-Please Help sign). Live in tent deep in woods, shower there too, eat cheapest foods. At my age, and all the shit I've been through, I just don't have it in me to struggle on much further. At only 18, you still have hope and possibilities. Good luck.
>>
>>697396695
How long have you been homeless? And where you from? I'm really just green and I'm in between being super homeless because my parents are rich as fuck. My dad's company is about to become and IPO and I don't get money from them, which is fair, just fyi. Mommy and daddy have monies and I don't know what they are about in regards to taking me back or putting me through college.
>>
>>697396998
Not to much hope. You ever consider suicide or is it to soon? I don't want to live without being loaded. Dead or success for me I think. But in willing to play the waiting game for rn to see what my parents do. Been out of the house for 2 months now though just as fyi.
>>
>>697397047
if you say you are passionate about something, they will probably help you with college then you can be independent there and have fun. Make an effort and do research about where you want to go and what subjects you would wanna do. Be familiar with the dates, application process, and prices.

I'm not homeless but I'm trying to help. I live in Southern Cali in LA County. There are a lot of storage facilities near here and they go for cheap.

That wasn't me, but if you can afford a gym membership, fuel and insurance for your car, and a storage unit, these are good suggestions. Be careful about storage areas, though; miss one payment, and they'll sell your stuff. That's how I lost the last of possessions.

How? I wonder that myself sometimes. It's too long a story to tell here. Basically, a string of bad decisions, misplaced trust, and bad luck, compounded by bad timing.

Nuke's make amazing money but it isn't quick. Not by a long shot. You'd have to go through a difficult A-School right after Boot Camp, which can be harder for some people, but it's not overall difficult.

I think if you joined you'd get an amazing turn around in your life and possibly a new outlook. I'm not out here to recruit anyone for any reason. I just genuinely believe that.

Fair enough. The numbers the navy guy gave me at my local place was 90k and 12k signing. After hearing those I'm kinda set on receiving those but I'd probably settle. The whole bummer is I want the 12k and like a month to spend some of it and then go to camp. Is that possible?

Other rates (jobs) in the Navy have shorter term commitments if the time frame turns you away. But the money has a lot of Nukes reenlisting. It's amazing pay.

I'm not going to lie and say you'll have a ton of time. The Navy basically needs to know you're committed before they give that sign on bonus.

That's fair. Honestly it's not even my move at this point. If my parents step up and offer college, I accept that. If they dont, I sign with the navy guys. Make some money, and hey If I fucking hate it I kill myself. That's always been an option so, I think that's a good plan.
>>
>>697402709

I can't say I like that last option. But you have options. If your parents don't pull through, the Military will become your family and take good care of you.

The benefits are great. Any exact salary compared to a civilian job is always better for the military since you'll be paying for less like food, housing, travel, that sort.

Leaving to Boot Camp was quick and easy. Your recruiters (after having done the whole process to get you ready to leave) send you to a hotel, you're then flown to whatever base you'll be training on (ROTC Great Lakes for the Navy) and they pick you up and set you up from there.

In Boot Camp if the stress is too much, talking to your command and simply saying you wish to go home is enough.

It gets difficult once your A-School and actual job begin. It's a case by case basis thing. Some rates (jobs) allow you to leave if you inquire the proper command, similar to boot camp. Other times it's not so simple and you'll have to go through a discharge process. A bad charge can ruin a lot in your life. But if you haven't done anything wrong and want out, there are programs that make it simple without fucking anything over.

Marines is tough physical labor. But not all of it. Ignore any banter from people that talk shit about any branch.

You can get desk jobs in the Marines, they need office workers, doctors, medics, mechanics, etc. So 'joining the Marines' isn't just a send off to a gun fight.

Each branch has different jobs that need to be filled.

I literally cannot comprehend how this could happen to a person (without drugs, drinking, or a mental or physical disability being involved).

You get a prepaid cell, you squat in a home under construction or for sale for a few months. Buy a decent change of clothes half off at Goodwill, toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, deodorant, soap at the dollar store or walmart, shave all your hair, get cleaned up in a river or whatever water you can find.

Put in apps to McDonalds, Wendys, Chipotle etc (only fast food places where you can eat for free), and give them your squatting address and prepaid phone number. Promise the world on an interview and almost guaranteed get one of the jobs. Hold it together and stay relatively clean for the next 2-3 weeks until you get your first paycheck and then find someone renting a shitty room in an apartment for like 150 a month.

After that just keep on top of things, buy a used bicycle, try and keep costs down, Either keep it up from there until you can be a manager, or find an entry level position somewhere that you can BS your way through the first few weeks.. no longer homeless.

No human can find a flaw with this plan.

>>
>>697405336
That's pretty much the answer I keep finding, that you just have to get lucky and know the right people
>>
>>697406015

The flaw is availability of locations and opportunities. But if you're homeless with some assets I'd just trek somewhere else. Not saying your plan isn't good, just that no plan is flawless.

I played a couple of gigs as a guitarist. I got to join a group that already did some local stuff so they got paid as a group $2000 for one show at the Wave, we split it 4 way. Got $500 for like an hour of my time for something I can do without thinking about it.

Stage-fright disappears real quick when it becomes a job. Unfortunately that dried up fast, only did a couple of shows before the egotistic singer ruined everything.

Before I could get anything else working rock was pretty much out.

But seriously, not much practice, $1500 and drinks and good times all from only a couple hours of work, late teens early twenties, this is an easy as hell way to meet girls too. God I wish I could have kept it up.

I tried teaching for a while after that, but it only paid $15 for a half hour and it's hard filling up time.

Even teaching beat the shit tier campus jobs. Ex I worked in the bookstore for min wage, some weeks I would only get 8 hours. $50 for over 10 hours of my time thanks to travel.

Meanwhile I teach guitar, a few people show up at my apartment and I go through stuff with them and show them next steps, I only need 4 people a week and 2 hours to make more money than the bookstore job.

That's most people, you have to just go out into public and act like someone else, practice at bars. If you make a fool of yourself, leave no one will ever remember you.
>>
>>697406256
I'm not sure what you mean by this, all of the opportunities I mentioned are fairly ubiquitous, you might have to hike a few days to a more expedient location but thats what public libraries are for, to help you find the information you need to make it happen.

As far as the initial assets you need (say.. 75 bucks), honestly I think you could rustle that up in a few days harrassing folks in front of starbucks or home depot. Not that I've ever panhandled, but guilt a few guys into giving you 10-20 bucks and you're done. Worst case scenario steal an expensive vacuum from Target, in, out, no dillydally, don't even think about stopping or turning around if someone follows you. Unless there's a cop parked in front of the store there's pretty much nothing they can do. Sell to a local pawn shop and that's your seed money right there. I'd also say steal window A/C units out of house during the day while people are at work, smash em open and take the copper to a recycler, probably would only take a few dozen to make a hundred bucks but honestly if you're homeless and don't have a car to haul em around this one might not work out so well.

Yes, you are. The fact that you can't see it doesn't make it less true. Homelessness in America is a mental health issue, not an economic one. local equivalent of craigslist for that one, but when I get these ones up to a good level I'll try other sales options too

the first one took me a few weeks, but it depends on how you approach it. you can game XP in some ways, yesterday I got all 8 from lvl 10 to 15.

This.

Just got in entry level in aerospace.
Basically I was told I'd have a job for life if I showed initiative and worked hard. They also make a point to tell us on a regular basis:

>contribute the max to your 401k
>leave it alone
>work for your raises
>you will retire with 2mill+ at 55.

I just don't really want to wait until I'm 55 to retire. I'd prefer to make that money faster and younger. So I'm looking into the future of the energy industry and planning on leveraging my experience in aerospace materials science for a higher paying faster growth job in energy.

The old dudes are all making 150k and they make sure other dudes are turning bolts the right number of times. Of course, if they fuck up and bring down a 2 billion dollar endeavor because they're fucking off it will end poorly. But's amazing money for doing absolute shit. I'm used to hustling for my money, and they tell me to slow down when I work because we don't want to raise the bar for our efficiency. Keeping expectations right where they are, so our little extra endeavors look like huge efforts and make us look good.
