I've been around 4chan for a little over 6 years. I'm not claiming to be an oldfag or anything but I probably have been browsing for longer than 90% of you guys. Honestly I don't remember as many trap threads and BBC threads back then, but other than that literally nothing has changed. If anything there's significantly fewer loli threads now.
One thing I know for sure is that even when I was brand fucking new I remember people complaining that /b/ has changed blah blah blah even though it really hadn't.

The biggest problem I have with /b/ nowadays is that nothing progresses anymore. I used to sit in a thread and see things happen, be it when /b/ hacked Plainfield Middle Schools cafeteria menu, or I helped send a goddamn toad into space. Threads never used to be "XX Threads" as much as they are now, there was no 'type' of thread. It was people giving food for thought, and it turns into a conversation. Now there is no more conversing.
