It's just a 2 year community college program. I was accepted to the culinary institute of America in Hyde Park NY but my culinary teacher in high school (vocational program) when to CIA himself and actually suggested I go to SMCC for culinary instead. The material is the same, it's almost laughably cheaper, and I can keep my cat since I don't have to live on campus.
