That's the thing about it. Downpour had some really solid ideas and writing but it lacked in areas like monster design, and definitely needed a re-write or two to iron out the details and make some things clearer. On the other hand, Homecoming was absolute utter shit that had no original ideas in its makeup, but it had some absolutely inspired designs for bosses, really creepy areas, and better music, but overall was a way lesser experience due to horrible, lazy writing. If Downpour was given Konami's resources like Homecoming was, instead of being shoved off to an eastern-euro dev team with minimal support, it would've been fucking fantastic. Downpour shows a lot of passion for the series and it didn't deserve to be as bad as it was because of constraints of time and budget. Fuck Konami.
