Ah Alright, theres a Pinsir of a similar level at that gym over here who is also team red. If you really want to keep gyms, level them up and put the strongest pokemon in them so people have to beat 5 other pokemon before getting to yours. Did this last night to three gyms and still have all of them. Also split the typings of the pokemon in the gym.

If you have an iOS device but are not in the regions allowed, just create a new Apple Id that is based in California / Los Angeles / Zip 90001 withouth a credit card and then sign in with that Apple Id in the App Store, worked for me in the Netherlands. You walk around, the more footsteps you got the closer you are, you need to select the one you want to chase and walk im the direction. If its white you arw walking in the wrong direction.
