It depends on the car. I don't think all Minis are even that stiff. Just depends on what the car is made for. A stiff suspension usually means that it's more track oriented than just fun on the streets. My Cobra can feel every single bump in the road because of the stiff suspension. But, the seats are comfy as all hell, so it makes up for it. It's also extremely nice that the side and thigh bolsters are power, so you can adjust them to fit you like a glove and it's like the car is hugging you when you take corners. Fucking fantastic seats.

LS1's only run in high 12's if they have slicks and are tuned. That's not stock. The 99 Cobras were faster stock for stock after the recall. Also, the 01 Cobras were faster all around. Now, my model was a different story. There wasn't a faster Camaro than my 2003 Cobra until the 2012 ZL1. Chevy had to supercharge their LS engine just to be .3 seconds faster in the quarter than a 9 year older Mustang. Nice going GM.

Yep. Had it dyno tuned. But, that was also before a couple of newer mods. When I had it dyno tuned, it was running 420 rwhp. Now it's closer to 500 at the moment. Haven't had it dyno'd since, so I can't give you hand definitive numbers just yet.

On topic of Mustangs, my old teacher had a white SVT Cobra pushing out about 450 on the bench. That thing was fast. My first LeBaron on the other hand was faster, with a fat ass turbo stolen from a dump truck and pushing out well into the 550 territory, that Cobra got decimated every single time by the Chrysler, right untill the Chrysler topped out at around 240kmh and the Cobra just screamed past me going around 300 or so kmh.
For the first 500 or so metres the Cobra was left staring at my rapidly escaping rear lights, but the transmission of that Chrysler isn't geared for such top speed.

When the New Edge Cobras came out, (as long as the 99 models were fixed), then they smoked SS's easily. Now, if you REALLY want to be technical, the Z28 SS and the Firehawk weren't even made by GM. They were modded and tuned by SLP. A third party tuner. That would be like comparing a base Trans Am to a Saleen. But, with that being said, the Cobras were still faster than the SLP SS. Actually, technically, they were. Then we're modified (not made) with a slightly thicker swaybar and different shocks and bushings. There is little to no difference in power output. You're thinking lingenfelter or a mms421 Trans Am, and we're not even comparing those.
