If you're sold on a console though, PS4 has a number of really interesting exclusive games that may appeal to you as a player more than Microsoft's offerings. HDD swaps are covered under the Sony warranty, and you'd best believe a 500GB HDD isn't enough for this gens games. HOWEVER, the upcoming Xbox One S has more HDD options, has a built in power supply (finally), has a built in 4k blu ray player and is just an all around big improvement over the first Xbox One.
Do your research, look at the games library, figure out what you want out of a console, and then decide. If you go XBox One, spring for the the Slim, its worth the jump. Your other option is to wait for the PS4 Neo or Xbox Scorpio, but if you're really wanting "performance", apply your research and money to a PC and be all the happier.

There are so many PC games that can't be run on a console that there is no point in calling them exclusive. I doubt you'll see the arma series on a console any time soon, or any total war game worth its weight in salt, or hell, even a Minecraft game that isn't a shitty, outsourced knock off.
