Going pretty good, the pound and FTSE started to bounce back a couple of hours after the result was announced so the economic argument for remaining seems to be BTFO already.

By far the worst thing about Britain leaving the EU is that I have to hear 48% of the population bitch about it and try to get a second referendum.

For all you retards out there - WE HAVE NOT LEFT THE EU YET

Inb4 the pound is recovering.
The only reason the pound fell was from concern.
Its better for the brits to have a small recession now than the inevitable big collapse that we will see in the following years.
Also
What will the brits do now that they can do whatever they want and that they have more money?
ITS SO TERRIFYING.

Britain is full of morons and I'm no longer proud to call myself British.

The people who voted leave were mostly a) old people who think the EU is responsible for everything bad that's happened since its creation, and b) the poor, who would rather believe that the EU took all their money than accept the fact they work a shitty job because they have shit for brains.

Oh, and before they claim 'its becuz the Polish took all our jobs!' they tended to take the low-paid jobs, so now guess who will have to take the shitty, low-paid jobs? More Brits!

"But at least we take back control from those we didn't elect!". Yup, now we will have a Prime Minister that nobody at all elected. Thanks.

eh, the remain voters I've seen online are young people pissed off because they wanted free shit from the eu and they think the economy is going to go to shit and they'll be denied the ability to leech off of others, which is pretty much the only thing young people are good for in the west. pissed off that the old people who had real problems in their youth and had to fight to keep Europe free and who remember when the UK was a sovereign nation had an equal chance to express their opinion. also upset because the remain voters didn't show up in enough numbers so now they want a new referendum with a minimum turnout because choosing not to vote is not good enough and they want to just have referenda until they get the result they want, like the pouty crybabies they are. fucking pussies.

These morons who watch the news and base events on the stock market movement of one day, as if the markets don't move a lot very often. The reason the markets moved so much that BLESSED day was because everyone had it wrong. The markets were priced on the basis that Brexit wouldn't happen and trading strategies were programmed like that. So when the GLORIOUS, MAGICAL decision came in, it triggered off a whole lot of stupid trades. Amateurs who don't have any actual stake in the markets don't get this. They look at market values and they think it is actually evidence of something - which it is, but only after a given period of time. IT WAS SO GLORIOUS

It's a game-changer. If you want to know why the vote result was so important, just check out the complaints of those who voted to stay. They are all morons, which makes a 52% majority extra special.

>>
>>691615350
yes, I understand how arithmetic works. is there an argument you want to make, or do you just want to state facts at me? it wasn't tied. LEAVE won. maybe if more young shitheads got off their asses and voted, REMAIN would have won. but they effectively voted to leave by not voting. so when you think about it, LEAVE won by a landslide, didn't it? so suck it up, buttercup. Anyone who says there should be an IQ test to vote or procreate are outing themselves as complete shitheads.

I'd bet that if you polled 100% of any given population as to where they placed their intelligence relative to their peers, 80% of people would consider themselves "above average"

Faggots like you think you're the smartest guy in the room, when the reality is that you're probably just mediocre.

But you're right, lets give authority, over things like who has a say in government and the right to have a family etc, over to the rapacious technocratic elite that have driven the globe to the fucking brink.

One of the reasons the EU wants the UK out as quickly as possible is because they don't want other countries to see that the economic aspect if leavingnisnt all that bad. >>
>>691616982
I believe you. I think we're going to see a ripple effect. The EU was a great way for nations like Germany to get rich off the backs of the poorer nations. The Euro was weak against the mark, effectively making it easier for Germany to sell its goods. Other nations' currencies were weak against the euro, putting them in a disadvantageous position vis a vis Germany and France. this facilitated the expansion of the German economy. Now Germany is the most powerful nation in the EU, giving Merkel tremendous power over Brussels. Germany doesn't want to see the Eurozone crumble because it will reduce its influence over the region. Smaller nations are tired of being coerced into going along with whatever Germany and France want and I fully expect they will take this opportunity to get out, especially if the UK does all right.

52% voted LEAVE
25% voted NO PREFERENCE (by not voting)
x = eligible voting population

.52(.75x) + .25x =
.39x+.25x=
.64x who voted LEAVE

Last time i looked it was a secret vote, just because some one said they voted a certain way does not prove anything.

Yes, but you can have a left leaning bell curve distribution (like that US has) which means that more than half the population is below average. They try to tweak IQ so that the median and average are the same, but they apparently do diverge over time.

hopefully voters on all sides learned their lesson about not voting. I think the larger nations who have profited from being in the Eurozone will have sizeable REMAIN voters so I doubt there would even be a referendum in those countries. However, in some of the countries that have had no say in policy, I think they're going to leverage this opportunity for reform and if Brussels doesn't make some changes I think you will see more votes like this. I don't think there will be enough remain voters in those countries to win the day, either, even if they actually vote.

You know, I'm not so sure about this. Dutchfag here, if I am to believe most of our government officials (except for Wilders), our country benefits a lot from the EU because of the way we trade. Scotland doesn't have the capital to exploit them by themselves. The problem with a Scottish independence is the need to build an economic system from the ground up. The real reason why there was a big push from moneyed English to keep Scotland leaving is that the loss of Scotland would fuck up the Labour Party.

This is the level of intelligence of the average voter?

We import more from Germany and France ALONE than export to the entire EU, now we get to re-negotiate these deals with a blanket one policy fits all mentality. They aren't going to shut a large market, we will just be like one of many nations within Europe but not the EU doing extremely well.

I don't know where you live or your job experience, but people will do those jobs. Even there are jobs so dire Brits won't do them, then the wages will go up, many of the jobs you speak of are terrible hours and terrible work for minimum wage, so once the wage is increased to where it should be people will jump at the opportunity.

When EU lifted sanctions on Russia, they also thought that EU can't live without export to Russia, because almost 60% of Russia food was from EU. And guess what? EU found where to realize that food and other products. People in Russia starving now, because prices grown up about 50-60% and Ruble now worth shit.

There will be an association agreement. Britain will continue to have access to the common market and will continue to have to follow EU regulations.

They will pay less but also receive less money back. Overall, expect very little to actually change.

The UK has been a major member state for the last 40 years. They have shaped EU policy to a large degree.
They were the architects of southern and eastern expansion and champions of the common market, having extended the freedom of movement to Poles several years before other countries did.

Nobody is interested in making the matter more complicated than it already is. Preserving their current level of integration as an outside de facto member state will likely be the result.

Oh no m8 you're getting kicked out.
The longer brexit remains open it's gonna hurt markets in Europe. However Europe is seeing the capital flight from UK directed primarily to Germany and Ireland. They will want to snip the cord fast to avoid serious damage, but they can still get a good deal out of this.
I would've told you to remain on wednesday, and you've seriously opened up a can of worms that can with the current course lead to the UK's total economic collapse. However now that the vote is in, if you don't stick by it and stay in the EU, it's gonna shatter investor confidence across the continent and cause serious ethical questions about disregarding the vote itself.
Ultimately they might be able to work out some sort of reduced membership, it seems like a practical solution each party can sell in their own way in the UK - Farage will use it to shake his fist at the nefarious EU tyrants holding him back, Cameron's next of kin will blame a corporate conspiracy. These theatrics distract from the fact that they both tried to exploit public sentiment for their own gain and betrayed their responsibility on maintaining an intricate legal and economic framework by crowdsourcing it under false pretenses.
But otherwise no, you're out.

UK investments have also lost 20% value and dropping. Further plunges will hit as capital flight becomes announced, late this week inflation will hit the public and a steady decline will start.
Products still have to adhere to foreign market regulations and they're useless, and hard fiscal, judicial and economic barriers will force continental business operations to move out of London. Aside from losing their jobs and income, their loss will affect other business. The same limitations that force their relocation also bar their replacement.
This is not something you can get out of with just some grit and "trading extra hard"

Good. The problem is, like we saw last general election, the modern day left are very anti-democratic. Hence mass amounts of vitriol and 'I told you so' type bullshit despite the fact that the DAX is down far more than the FTSE (up 2% from start of week) and the pound is not far off where it was in February. The markets overreact, that's what they do. Not to mentiom the fact that pretty much all Leave voters knew this would be the case anyway. Expect to see the EU fall apart if we continue to prosper. Our growth in the last 5 years has been much higher than France's or Germany's and that growth was coming from non-EU markets. The left will ignore this however because voting Remain was the 'non-racist' (read: cuck) thing to do and the idea of getting a visa to travel somewhere seems daunting because they've never had to do it before, that was always mummy and daddy's job

You think media is gonna shut down with the UK or something? They want the UK out ASAP because the uncertainty is having a terrible effect on European markets and frankly those in the US and Japan, chiefly because strategic business decisions re: relocation need to be made. A capital flight had been predicted by the Leave camp itself, and it is now actually happening. If the UK breaks off quickly, they can mitigate the damage in greater Europe

Internal EU politics would rule that out. There are political and economic conditions that have to be be met before hand before they can join the EU. Even if the EU waived the conditions to allow Scotland and Northern Ireland in tomorrow, they'd still have to secure the approval of every single EU member to join. The Eastern European nations wouldn't vote to approve since they had to spend years structuring themselves to meet the requirements, Germany and France wouldn't vote to approve because it'd mean a massive amount of money having to be spent to prop up Scotland and NI, Greece wouldn't approve because it'd hurt their chances to see anymore debt relief, and Spain wouldn't approve because it might embolden the Catalonia independent movement. The only way Scotland and NI could join the EU without waiting years and going through massive economic restructuring is if the EU bureaucrats proved the euroskeptics right and unilaterally allowed them in without regards to the other member nations.

Ok, you can either trade with your direct neighbor, you know, the one right next door, or you can go ahead shipping whatever you shit out of the factories the multinational companies leave you once they've fled for the continent around the globe. Also, the US has already stated that they will always negotiate trade agreements with the EU first. You guys really need to come to terms with your economic and general importance in the globalized world of the US, India, China, Russia and the EU. The Empire ain't no more, kid.

A few brown people! A FEW! Try 333,000 in just 2015, half of which want to behead anyone who disagrees. The same half practices fucking barbaric rituals such as Bacha bāzī under the eye of the powers that be, and are not held acountable in the least. In fact, it seems encouraged. Yes. More 'disgusted' than 'scared'. Unfortunately we have a long way to go before we can start a mass cleanup of our country. This is just the beginning.

Also it's not just brown people. We have plenty of native Brits who also need to be chucked into the sea.
>>
>>691618062

>>
>>691623887

Judging by that statement, you dont know what GDP means.

Or understand the financial case for being in or out of the EU. Our biggest "export" to the EU and the reason they bent over backwards for the first place is because of our massive banking sector tor, which has already recovered from the out vote.

What's more due to EU tax rules companies like Amazon can sell goods in the UK and pay the majority of their taxes in other EU nations, now they won't be able to, increasing tax intake and therefore GDP.
>>
>>691624364
"Oh no, people are coming because it's better here. Let's fuck everything up instead of trying to solve the problem globally so they don't want to come anymore"
And that's how the Brexit came to see the world.

Manufacturing went too, everything has been going through a process of being sold off, including national institutions and services by successive pro EU and multinational governments to the detriment of UK customers and workers.
As with all things economic it's hard to predict the future but I'd expect the government and industrial leaders might have to start looking into the best interests of the voters now that the working class have seen democracy work for the first time in decades, if not their entire lives.

Those limitations are exactly why those banks and companies are leaving. The absence thereof being the reason they set up European headquarters in London back when the EU started to begin with, the alternative being an HQ in every seperate national jurisdiction.
By backing out of the jurisdictional zone that had them set up shop in the UK instead of stay in the US, having ramifications for anything from data protection laws to civic barriers and fiscal laws, they need to move out of the UK and into Dublin or Frankfurt.
The banks that need to move alone account for 8% of your GDP. Tech firms will be behind them, and it will be a dilemma posed to every multinational including the ones originating in the UK.
So yes, you've just transferred a substantial part of your GDP to Germany. This isn't a recession where you face some tough business but just gotta get through it, you've restructured the law to eject your primary exports, they will move elsewhere.
