I was an INTJ a few months ago but now an INTP. What's the difference between the two?
Also the hardest thing for me as an INTP/J is to not stay on the edge all the time and not be paranoid about what other people think and say of me. Maybe I could add the fact that I think I am an utterly boring person who cannot hold a conversation for more than a minute unless the person and I are very similar in terms of taste and personality.

Thanks for the advice. My best friends are an ISTP, an ENTP and an ISFP (yes my autism made them do the tests) and we all get along pretty well and can discuss things unfiltered and with no bullshit. It's just hard for me to do the same with people I don't know or highly distrust (99% of people I know).

I also tend to think about what I'll do all day, but I never get anything done because I'm too fucking lazy to do it, and I become lost in my own thoughts sometimes.

I got INTP whereas previously I always got INTJ. I think it's cause this time I answered all the "keeping your options open" questions strongly towards perceiving because I didn't see any harm in doing so in the real world even though that isn't normally what I do. I'm very much a math person so usually I solve problems via proofs i.e. structured ways of problem solving, making me think I am in actuality more INTJ.
Anyways, an important thing to note is that personality is influenced by what you hope your personality to be. So, if you really want to be a particular personality type, this can help you figure out both what that ideal self is for you and in doing so what you need to change to achieve it.

yes, you see, actually all letters have kind of a go with the flow/think before kind of relationship, i said earlier that S/N are the most important letters, all the other just say what you rather do. so E is about jumping head on into something where I likes to be careful. N is about thinking what everything is about while S is more likely to see the shape and color of something. T likes to think for a solution when F likes to pick the one that is best for everyone's interests. P means you are more likely to sit thinking about something your whole life and J means you are more likely to act. so yes, thinking ahead applies to Ti, and also INTP is the type that only likes to think (basically all letter say this). but we all change over time and in different situations, and we can choose to change.

My INTP friend, as well as myself (INTJ) have viewed being stubborn as a flaw (because to us it represented bias/ignorance) so being stubborn if one of the most shameful things we can do (assuming we end up being wrong, obviously). As a result we are pretty open minded when talking about stuff to each other. In one way we are lucky for that, as I know INTJs are stubborn as hell, and INTPs typically aren't far behind. We both used to get in so much trouble for arguing with teachers and shit though. i did this test multiple times, on different sides, and always got INTP.
alot of the things that are discribed as INTP attributes fit for me, but for example i'm not nearly as much of an non-empathetic assburger as some of these sides make "me" out to be, i think i'm actually pretty good at understanding emotional situations, etc.
