Having worked with folks who disabilities such as downs I can tell you from experience that as a group they are some of the happiest people I've ever met. Many have well developed thoughts about politics, laws, and other mechanisms that effect their lives. A lot can even work jobs and probably put their co-workers to shame, even if it's the local gas station. This being said physical disability and mental handicap are very difficult to manage when paired together. I would never question someone's choice to abort a child like this but bear in mind people most the time have the similar hopes and dreams. The mentally handicapped are no different.

They are less fertille and some are really sterile, yes. But not all.And since nothing happens to the sexual chromosomes (downs syndrome is a trisomy of 21st chromosome which is an autosome) and the 23rd (which takes part on reproduction) stays pretty much the same as of normal people.
Even 2 people who have Down's syndrome have a child, the probability of that child to develop the said syndrome is pretty much the same as in a normal couple.

The potatoes were violent threw shit, shit, stank, and I hated talking to them. Only one I went to school with actually ended up living a normal life but only works at Walmart. Personally if you know your child has a chance keep it. If you know it's gonna take my fuckin monies out my paycheck chuck it into the trash. Those things will only ever reach a certain point and that's it. Autists ain't all that bad but to an extent of course. After I left that damn class I went to a vocational school and got my shit straight and now I have a decent paying job, I'm working hard on opening my own tech repair business and I'm happy where I'm at.
