Despite being a government entity, the stores charge a sales tax to consumers and our money comes directly from the liquor sales.
It is fucking strange as hell.
Even though I'm paid slightly less than a Starbucks employee, I get access to state government benefits by being a government employee technically.
The funds for the health plan also come out of the liquor sales.
