Disregarding the fat that this is bait. I just finished my undergrad in philosophy, and I'm about to start an MA in biomedical ethics, leading into a PhD in studies in transhumanism. Guess "fuck learning from our mistakes and knowing our heritage" is god tier then?

also Comp Sci should be top tier, the world literally stops working without programmers, Unless you think we should waste the time of EEs writing GUIs and math problems.

English should be low tier, its not hard or complicated but it IS hugely important. One of the reasons our society is in the shitter is that we have a generation that cannot read or write, largely because we had a generation of shitty English teachers who could not engage their students. The ability to transmit ideas between individuals and even more so between generations is the very foundation of civilization.

t. EE major turned author because I honestly feel that literature is more lacking and needed in the modern world than new technology.

Low tier in that anyone can do it, there is no particularly requirement to study language, it doesn't require exceptional intelligence or immense dedication or a massive repository of knowledge, its like a minor that all good humans should take.

You can only really get super rich if you have really good connections or you're really lucky. Otherwise you make what a teacher makes.

Did you make my fucking computer? It was done by teams and teams of stems, maybe one or two of whom had something to really new to add to the work a hundred thousand others pieced together beforehand. Wonderful achievement really.
>>
>>688240687
Math is the best degree imo. You can understand anything if you understand the foundation of everything.

Organic?
>>
>>688241434
not completely sure yet but from what i've heard about other chemistry fields, probably.
>>
>>688241823
I used to be an organic chemist, then medicinal chemist. A lot of organic jobs dried up in the US and went overseas.
I switched to analytical, specifically LC/MS development and I make way more now and have constant job offers.
>>
>>688242256
I've heard that. I've looked on a few job search websites and have seen several analytical chemist jobs listed. I'll keep it in mind.

I heard that shit. I'm 31 in my second year. Doing a double degree in Geography and Economics. Geography is life sciences but heaps easier than economics so got me fucked how that rates higher.

Don't get me wrong, I loved organic and drug design. I loved the freedom to interpret ligand binding results and design my own molecules. Too bad that it's moving to India and China.

There's no real synergistic application until I complete my post-graduate degrees, but the undergraduate studies for both gives me experience in the humanities and hard sciences and mathematics, and post-undergrad I can work in either field (and maybe get first consideration for cases relating to medicine or other "more technical" legal cases). Post-graduate career goals = medical ethics advising

Not the guy you are replying to, but in British and many Non-American English dialects, Maths would be the commonly accepted word.

As there are multiple types of Math (Trig, Calc, Stats, Geometry etc) hence the term Maths.
