Dragon warrior monsters II for the GBC

Thing is gen 2 favoured style over substance and there wasn't much to do outside of straight battling and a tedious grind.
Also while there weren't any graphical changes day and night as well as time based events occured, The game corner was also included in European versions because I personally remember playing the Roulette for ages, the Pokenav also was the Pokegear but without the annoyance of the phone calls Trainers eyes was used to keep track of which trainers wanted rematches that said the calling feature returned in Emerald, Saving money wasn't particularly necessary and there was more content outside of just battling in contests, secret bases and the return of the safari zone.
Then there was the entirety of the battle frontier in Emerald.
Plus it introduced a new battle mode, abilities and natures as well as a rehaul of the entire system, it was more or less made from scratch.

BF didn't make it in due to time constraints and the safari zone was removed outright because of the complaints the last one recieved.
That said it's a dream for people who are into competitive or just want to be the best in their group because it streamlined the breeding process. It also improved secret bases to include 5 additional trainers with join avenue tier effects if you interact with them.
