this is a thread for discussion but of course i'll give some interesting information i found.

If the sun were truly 93 million miles away, then all light that finally reached earth would have to be running parallel when it reaches us.

Yet, when you see the sun's rays beaming through the clouds - at all angles - you can see that that's CLEARLY not the case. The sun's apparent movement in the sky works both ways, mathematically.

Thank you for illuminating us all with your wisdom. Moving along:

From all altitudes, as far as your eye can see, the horizon is completely flat and raises to eye level. The supposed curve of the earth is actually just the vanishing point of your vision from your perspective.

Welcome to the intelligent side, op. The side that knows water doesn't curve around a planet, and that gravity does not make things a perfect sphere like a cue ball.

Are you that fucking dense you need an explanation for seasons? Has nothing to do with shape of the earth, it could be fucking square and we'd still have seasons. I'm not a flat earther, but using seasons is just dumb.

I am giving my data. Please limit your posts to one question at a time and, if i can, i'll try to answer.

As for gravity, in the Flat Earth model, 'gravity', rather than being a force, is the upward acceleration of the Earth. The Earth always accelerates upward at 1g, which is equivalent to the gravitational acceleration in the Round Earth model. Like the force of gravity, the Earth's acceleration causes several commonly observed phenomena in our daily lives.

Been doing my own research for months OP, and a geocentric model makes more sense than a heliocentric model. The Earth being a plane (not a planet) makes more logical sense than me being a monkey on a spinning ball.

The Sun and the Moon are the same size (like they appear during an eclipse). They are yin and yang. Life, and death. They create "Moonths", and "Seasuns"

Commercial space flight. It's going to happen in your life time. What bullshit excuses will flat believers have. When people are seeing the earth is round while they fly other side of the planet?

none. You will have none. Just like you have no valid reason to explain why hiding the shape of the earth is important.

Remember. Commercial space flight. Seeing the earth curve with your own eyes in high orbit. Only seeing one half of the earth with your own eyes, because the rest is on the other side.

How the hell would sunsets work. If the world was flat, wouldn't the sun shine on every point of earth at the same time? And how would the sun go over the horizon at different time?

Simple test: try making the same visual observation using binoculars, a telescope or even a camera with zoom. It's shocking how boats that are supposedly below the Earth's curve suddenly appear with the aid of “magic” optics.

It’s all about perspective and, to a certain degree, refraction. Things start disappearing at the convergence point. At the horizon, this means from the bottom up.

>did a lot of research
Huh?
What?
How can you do ANY research and find flat earth true? You cam disprove it yourself at home, right now.

Flat earth says that gravity is. A caused by the flat earth disk floating upwards. This means if you were to gently toss a ball inot the air, the ball would have a shorter trip from thrown to peak than peak to grounded EVERY TIME because the ground would be catching up with the ball. In fact, the less force you put into throwing up its the air, regardless of maximum height achieved, the quicker the travel time would be back down. However, the time an object takes to reach its pinnacle to landing is always a function of mass, gravity, and drag. Therefore it is impossible that "gravity" is simply the flat earth disk moving upwards at a constant rate.

That's only 1 at home experiment, there are many more.

For instance, we knew flat earth was wrong when the Greeks measured how the sun behaved of different lines of (what we now call) latitude. The overwhelming evidence is that the earth is a ball.

This would imply that they orbit closer to the sun than the Earth. How would this fit into the "Flat Earth, Spotlight Sun" hypothesis?

Due to special relativity, this is not the case. At this point, many will question the validity of any answer which uses advanced, intimidating-sounding physics terms to explain a position. However, it is true. The relevant equation is v/c = tanh (at/c). One will find that in this equation, tanh(at/c) can never exceed or equal 1. This means that velocity can never reach the speed of light, regardless of how long one accelerates for and the rate of the acceleration.

Only the military powers of the world would know. They've been digging secret underground bases for centuries. They have digging technology that is straight out of sci-fi books.

The deepest 'civilians' have ever gone is supposed to be 8 miles down, done in Russia. At 8 miles their drill bits were said to become ineffective but I think that's been another fake story meant to keep us from discovering the truth.

The problem with digging is that you don't have to dig far, for it to get extremely hot. You can learn something about the earth's composition by studying seismic waves. That the earth has a magnetic field is indicative that there's something big and metallic in there.

Perhaps, you should try the "math"

Using the Pythagorean theorem, the Earth calculates to an average curvature of 7.98 inches per mile or approximately 8 inches per mile.

Kansas is 82,277 mi²

Kansas is also flatter than a pancake.

Ever look at Kansas album covers?

Eratosthenes discovered the Earth was 25k miles in circumference, without even leaving Egypt. And you think this guy had a fucking clue how big the Earth is measuring shadows? It's no surprise their own math doesn't add up.

I know you've deceived me, now here's a surprise

You could measure curvature, if it actually existed. They say the round earth is 25,000 miles in circumference. So, using spherical trigonometry, the curvature figures to 8 inches per mile squared. The mile is squared so the first mile is 8 inches, 8x1x1 = 8, the second miles 8x2x2 = 32, the third mile is 8x3x3=72 etc.

This is the kind of curvature you would see on a ball 25,000 miles in circumference. Even if it were 100,000 miles in circumference there would be a measurable curve, that is just not observed except when viewed through a convex window or using a lens effect.

>>687141357
It's A BINGO! Nice reasoning, mate.

While it's true that unipolar magnets can't exist, this isn't a problem for the Flat Earth. This is because ring magnets, which are shaped like (you guessed it!) a flat disk, are capable of having radial magnetization. In a radial magnet, one magnetic pole is at the center and other other is at all points on the edge of the magnet. A magnet like this can be found in loudspeakers, and perfectly replicates what is found on the Earth.

It is part of the natural physics of water and other fluids to always find their level and remain flat. If disturbed in any way, motion ensues until the flat level is resumed. If dammed up then released, the nature of all liquids is to quickly flood outwards taking the easiest course towards finding its new level.

Physics prove water can't be a sphere?

If the Earth really is a disk accelerating upwards, then why does gravity vary depending on latitude? Why does gravity vary at all? Look to the starts and planets up above. They all flat too?

Why aren't they collapsing downwards?

Or perhaps all the planets are conveniently disk shaped, and facing towards Earth?

IF that's not the case, then what is below Earth?

And lastly, if this theory is true, what does NASA have to gain by lying?

"Some people claim there is no motive for such a grand-scale deception and that flat or a ball makes no difference. By removing Earth from the motionless center of the Universe, these Masons have moved us physically and metaphysically from a place of supreme importance to one of complete nihilistic indifference. If the Earth is the center of the Universe, then the ideas of God, creation, and a purpose for human existence are resplendent. But if the Earth is just one of billions of planets revolving around billions of stars in billions of galaxies, then the ideas of God, creation, and a specific purpose for Earth and human existence become highly implausible. By surreptitiously indoctrinating us into their scientific materialist Sun-worship, not only do we lose faith in anything beyond the material, we gain absolute faith in materiality, superficiality, status, selfishness, hedonism and consumerism. If there is no God, and everyone is just an accident, then all that really matters is me, me, me. They have turned Madonna, the Mother of God, into a material girl living in a material world. Their rich, powerful corporations with slick Sun-cult logos sell us idols to worship, slowly taking over the world while we tacitly believe their “science,” vote for their politicians, buy their products, listen to their music, and watch their movies, sacrificing our souls at the altar of materialism. To quote Morris Kline, “The heliocentric theory, by putting the sun at the center of the universe ... made man appear to be just one of a possible host of wanderers drifting through a cold sky. It seemed less likely that he was born to live gloriously and to attain paradise upon his death. Less likely, too, was it that he was the object of God’s ministrations.”

NASA alone, since it's inception, has been sucking up hundreds of billions in tax dollars. More importantly, though, it all boils down to control and power. The “science” religion takes humanity from a place of supreme importance and replaces it with random accidents of chance. Nothing turned into everything for no apparent reason. So, an upward acceleration of 1 g you say... then it would take approx. 3*10^7 seconds before the earth reached lightspeed. that amounts to 8333 hours, which again is 347 days. Lets just make it easier for ourselves and call that 365 days, a year. We have irrefutable proof, that the universe is AT LEAST 13.8 BILLION years old, and that earth ~5 BILLION years old. That means, that if what you claim is true, we would be moving at 5 billion times the speed of light. Since we also have proof of how time work at superlightspeed (hint, it doesnt exist. photons are everywhere and nowhere on their worldline at the same time), we can conclude that time could not possibly pass. Furthermore, the energy it takes to accelerate an object with mass to lightspeed, much less 5 BILLION times light speed, approaches infinity as v approaches c. There is not, and cannot be, enough mass (mass = energy) in the universe to accelerate ANYTHING with mass to lightspeed, even if it were just an atom or an electron, reaching 100% cannot happen. We just dont have enough energy in the universe to do that. Therefore, the flat earth theroy can be proven false.

Back then was when thr ancient aliens came down and made us like the bible says then some aliens took human females as wives and produced mighty men.

A simple experiment for you:
Fill your sink with water.
Pull the plug.
Observe the vortex that forms. If you're on the northern hemisphere, it's a counter-clockwise vortex. If you're on the southern hemisphere, it's a clockwise vortex.

If the earth is flat, why are the vortices different depending on your location?

yes they are composites assembles from sensors that record in color bands, n the simplest terms there are separate images for red, blue and green and one for infrared or whatever else the sensor can record. then the images is assembled form these bands into something lay people can understand. your lack of understanding of basic remote sensing is pretty goddamn infuriating. successfully baited me, congrats.

The weird thing about FET is that the vast majority, if not pretty much all of the explanations used to give credit to the FET are just intended to explain the phenomena we see (which is more elegantly explained by the mainstream understanding), but don't actually explain why the FET model makes more sense than round Earth model... just why it might not be completely impossible just due to casual observation.

First, that is false even in the round earth model. A more interesting question would be about the tides.

There is a continual pressure of the atmosphere upon the Earth. Associating it with the fact that the Earth is a vast plane ‘stretched out upon the waters,’ it MUST, of necessity, slightly fluctuate. As by the action of the atmosphere the Earth is slowly depressed, the water moves towards the receding shore and produces the flood tide; and when by the reaction of the resisting oceanic medium the Earth gradually ascends the waters recede, and the ebb tide is produced.

Control for control's sake is also valid, hollow as it may seem. It's validation that you control the facts, that you write the narrative that governs people's lives. From a ruling standpoint, this is vitally important.

Wouldn't everyone on Earth be able to see the Burj Al Arab if the Earth was flat?

In order for us to feel the effects of gravity, we accelerate towards the Earth at 9.8m/s EVERY SECOND. That's why you accelerate when you jump out of a plane, you don't just fall at a leisurely 9.8m/s and hit the ground at 9.8m/s, it compounds by that amount every second. If the flat Earth has to mimic this, it has to accelerate upwards at 9.8m/s, compounded every second. How long has this been happening? How long have we been accelerating? HOW FAST ARE WE GOING NOW?!

Despite the fact this entire thread is bait, and the few anons arguing FET are literally sitting back laughing at people angrily dispute and obvious bullshit theory, I'll still pose a question.

What the fuck would happen when you reach the edge of the earth then? Could you just jump off? What do the side of the planet look like and how deep are they? Does this mean that you could theoretically dig through the planet, come out on the underside, and then jump "upwards" and just continue moving away from the planet since it is now accelerating away from you? Why has nobody ever discovered the edge of the planet? Has there been a conspiracy for the entirety of human existence to keep people away from it?

I ask these questions just for my amusement of what the answers will be, because at the end of the day FET isn't something that needs to be argued or deputed. The same way that I don't need to dispute an argument that my shit doesn't smell.

>>
>>687142586
... And yet you don't actually explain how gravity would allow a flat earth to exist.

It's all about mass. If an object is massive enough, gravity will cause it to collapse into a sphere. Mountains do not have enough mass to become spheres. And don't say that the flat earth just has to be less dense, otherwise the force the earth would exert on us would be much less.
>>
>>687143931

Just seems like a really strange way to do it. It's incredibly elaborate.

Taking that approach with history? Sure. Just compare what kids learn in history class to real life history when you actually look into it independently.

Media creating narratives in the pursuit of an agenda? Happens all the time, sure.

The idea that the government might create lies to start a war for military funding makes a lot more sense than anything involving a round Earth. The military budget is leagues higher than our space program budget ever was. And the illusion costs far less to maintain.

In reality, the concept that nearly every scientist on Earth is in on some sort of conspiracy just isn't feasible. No one power structure could keep that up for so long. The realm of science for at least since the 17th century (and possibly even going back thousands of years) would have to be part of this conspiracy.
