This is partially why him and Courtney gravitated to each other so heavily. She obviously heavily abused as a child, and has some serious issues because of it. What's even more bizarre is that her mother is a published psychologist.
Courtney is definitely not too bright, but blaming her for his demise is incredibly shitty, especially when the early 90's rock scene was a heroine epidemic. Hole's bassist died of a heroine overdose like 2 months after Curt, and it wasn't an uncommon thing at the time.
The concert series she did several months after he died was legendary from her obvious depression, and quite frankly I don't see another female-fronted rock band topping that level of intensity for decades.
