What a completely fucking retarded comment.
Businesses have to obey the law so they can't violate anyone's rights. The worst they can do is do a shitty job serving customers and go out of business.
When government is shit it stays in business. And they exist to violate your rights

You cannot be on the libertarian right. That would assume that the conservatism held some libertarian ideals.
In fact this whole chart is unnecessary once you see the paradoxes. You have what is called a deductive paradox: you have deduction, which works because big things can't fit inside small things, and deductive paradox, where the big thing is equivocated into the small thing: Intolerance against intolerance, Freedom to enslave, or forcing someone to be free.
Libertarians believe in personal freedom above all else. To insure this is maintained, they believe in a magical marketplace where the market punishes wrongdoers simply by having people act in their own interest. This selfish marketplace insures people will treat each other with respect, because to not do so would hurt yourself.

This is a narrative that in no way fits the world. It is a magical wish, not a narrative that is useful to believe.

But more importantly, Libertarianism is a narrative that in no way fits conservatism, whose practitioners believe in the structure and respect of hierarchy.

Libertarianism is just delusional liberalism, and authoritarianism is just broken conservatism.

This whole chart is a piece of nonsense. This website's only purpose is to steal information from your computer.

How are they bad? Voluntary exchange is bad? Production is bad?
They're only bad in so far as they engage in corporatism. If all they're doing is exchanging goods they can't violate anyone and can only really increase utility.

Except it's not a scarce good. Well, it is, because many businesses are poisoning it by dumping their shit into our water supplies, or even creeks and streams just so they can get rid of it cheaper.
And I never said that paying for water is wrong, it's taking the water source of a small portion of the population, shutting tap water off, then proceeding to extort the same portion of the population to buy your water for more money than it costed in the first place, therefore driving them into poverty

No. You are suggesting there is a perfect system in which all sides can be viewed, just like there is one point in space where you can see everything that is going on, but that is a bias of your Platonic world view - that there are ideal forms somewhere in a metaphysical place that make the world work.

Well, there isn't. Dichotomy cannot divide the world, nor can stepping outside the world by creating a metaphysics see the world.

The world is; You make a story about it - The Narrative. The Narrative filters and adds to make a consistent story of your intent.

But the story isn't the world.

What we are talking about here is the collective action of humans, and the social and physical Narratives we make up to corroborate and coordinate our actions. (cont)

Over the years we have come up with many Narratives of this collective action.
But the majority of narratives are not told to inform: they are told to manipulate.

The narratives of Socialism, and Capitalism, and Libertarianism, And Buddhism, and Confucianism are all just Narratives.

And they all are hobbled by the Narrative Process that created them.

But the one thing that they all have in common is that they are just stories. Whether those stories are consistent with the other stories of the world is important, but most important is whether those Narrative reflect the world.

Narratives come from the world. Without the narrative intent, the world is indistinguishable from the narrative of randomness.
The intent of this Political Compass is impossible to divine.
The only narrative that has an intent that is reflected by the world is the narrative where this website is just trying to pull you in for your information.

The rest is nonsense.
P.S. as an appeal to authority fallacy, no Poly Sci scholar would find anything interesting in these charts. A psychologist might though...

Except the real world doesn't work that way. Businessmen didn't stop hiring children, build safer buildings, and add seatbelts to cars because of consumer outrage. They did so because of steep fines associated with violating state and federal regulations.

Neoclassical economics is chock full of utopian assumptions about how competition affects the quality of services and goods.

or maybe information is more avaiable nowadays so people can vote better with their money.

if you have an aware populous, they can punish businesses on their own by not giving them their money.

You can't debunk common sense logic of competition by calling it utopian.
If a place is less safe people will be less willing to work there and businesses will need to pay a lot more to attract workers.
Therefore it's in a company's interest to improve safety and conditions to the extent that the improvements cost less than their value to the worker.
As far as I'm where this is all borne out by history, and safety was improving long before government stepped in

No, it's in their interest to find the cheapest way to continue operating. That could mean covering up accidents, paying off complainants, etc. That doesn't necessarily mean improving safety.

No, it's the company's interest to keep things cheap. Everything has an opportunity cost. Money spent on making buildings safer in order to prevent a small minority of workers from leaving could more profitably be spent on expanding business operations.

Hence, why building collapses in places like India and Nepal are far more common than in America. The average cuck has neither the inclination nor experience to understand what constitutes a safely designed building. They want to go to work, even if that entails some risk.

What the fuck
There is literally always going to be competition for your labour. So long as you're worth ten cents an hour someone. will pay you nine cent an hour. Someone else might pay you nine and half. Always competition.
EVEN IF THERE WASN'T they would still have to pay you enough to make you work instead of being unemployed. So they would do safety improvements to reduce the burden of wages.

Safety improved when the population heard about the terrible working conditions presented by deregulated employers, who had long since run any competition out of town. The meat factories of Chicago, child coal miners and textile workers, tge list goes on. Could the public themselves 'vote with their money?' No, because their was literally no other competition and doing so is denying yourself of basic goods like food and clotges to name a few.
So they raised enough of a shitstorm with their GOVERNMENT, the only force in the land with the power to stomp out bad business, to enact worker safety and anti- child labor laws, with steep fines or worse for not obeying them. Busines does not give two shits about safety and decency, or rather those who do get out-competed by those who dont.

I agree government regulators are vulnerable to corruption, but that's problem which is easily solvable by internal watchdogs. Germany and Nordic states seem to have somewhat sensible regulation that does not create unfair competition. The cannot be said about America, where money plays a more important role in political insitutions.

This is not true. It's a myth widely touted by libertarians to justify their hatred of regulatory mechanisms.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/does-government-regulation-really-kill-jobs-economists-say-overall-effect-minimal/2011/10/19/gIQALRF5IN_story.html

Requiring companies to construct safer buildings in the developing world would not drive companies back into the developed world because the former is still much cheaper than the ladder. Additionally, wage depression could be offset with a relatively low minimum wage.

Anything that increases the cost of a worker reduces demand for that worker. That's not a myth, it's a law of economics.
If the cost doesn't rise much then wages won't fall much. But if the change doesn't cost much and improves conditions companies would do it anyway.

Precisely. Which is why I am not a fan of American regulation. It's fucking stupid. 90% of it is retarded.

Please understand, I am not a raging gender studies cuck. I want simple, effective regulation. None of this bullshit on lightbulbs and vaping devices.

I guess I'm Gandhi, I don't get this shit though. Shouldn't some of the social issues like sex and religion not have party lines? I mean yea they're associated with certain parties but technically they shouldn't factor into anything.

Sex and religion shouldn't, yes. But they do.

Politics is intrinsically retarded, learn to accept it.

Really they confuse liberal values with libertarianism way too much.
The new left is authoritarian but it doesn't show up in this test
