I got stung several times by these things when i was camping in the weekend. I got the 12 guage and put 6 cartridge. I put 6 cartridges of buckshot through their nest. It fucked up their nest, but failed to fuck them up. Cue aerosols and lighter. Problem solved.

Depends on the wasp, but generally no. Bee stings can be potentially fatal to some people, so that puts them in a category in their own. These things were some type of bush wasp though and not nearly as bad as our urban wasps in Australia. The sting from these ones hurts really badly for about 2 minutes whereas the paper wasp sting hurts very intensely for approximately 45 minutes.
